Arrived to lobby dark and no clerk door locked. Clerk finally showed up let me in. Checked me in in the dark. Didn’t seem to really know what they were doing. I after fumbling through checking in say isn’t there a form I sign for my service dog. Clerk said I don’t know let me look along with wow you have a service dog. I replied yes I gave you his credentials along with mine and credit card when you were checking us in. Clerk then pulls it a clip board and says it’s hotel new policy to charge $200.00 for deposit for service animal. That’s steep! So I tell him can I pay cash cause you already took $50.00 deposit on my card when you checked me in. He say sure . I give him $160.00 he give $10.00 back and then gives me another set of door cards no receipt for money given for deposit as I go to walk away says did I give you two sets of keys before I can answer he says awww never mind it cool you just have extra. I get to room and expecting a crisp room as hotel was recently built it falls short. Room is heavily wore out already bathroom sink counter cracked, under wall heater vent fins were broken and gone that direct air flow, front door has damaged and scarping at the lock and frame meet where people have broken into the room before, wall pictures have peeling on the frame Other furniture has already tscarring and edge wearing Tv was so tiny and old. in the morning, come to find out while walking dog The hotel next to this one isn’t another hotel but It’s actually a homeless shelter that used to be formally a hotel.breakfast was a big confusion as things were not out when breakfast started and slowly trickled out, and if they all made it out at all as I didn’t sit around forever waiting . Go back to my room go to use the bathroom to toilet is clogged. I requested plunger and was brought to me in good time but by a gentleman Wearing street clothing just the same as the front desk worker was no indication that they work for the hotel at all. My lovely view out my window was of Why a dumpster that had a dead raccoon or possum On the...
Read moreI think we can all agree that exceptional customer service nowadays is RARE. I'm EXCITED to give this review of Comfort Inn, located in Auburn, WA because I have beem treated with nothing but respect from the general manager of this hotel and his front desk staff.||I stay in hotels at a minimum of 3 weeks of the month, every month. Majority of the hotels being a Choice Hotel brand. After yet another HORRIBLE expierence at Quality inn in Tacoma, i swore i would never stay at a Choice Hotel brand hotel ever again, until i came across the reviews of Comfort inn located in auburn.||I checked in super late at Comfort Inn on 10/23/2019 with no problems, and have extended my stay until right now 10/27/2019 and will be staying a few more night because of how pleased i am.||Parking lot is rather small, not very many spots open later at night. Lobby of the hotel smells WONDERFUL, very clean with a fresh pot of coffee available to you, iced lemon water and a flat screen TV with some chairs.||Hallways smell just as amazing as the lobby, carpet looks very new and vaccumed. Indoor pool and hottub but i did not use either so i cannot comment on it. Although i have witnessed the general manager cleaning the pool in the mornings.||I walked into my room and my jaw dropped, every single thing about my room was perfect. The king size bed was perfrctly made, with big comfy blankets and a goose down comforter with 5 pillows. I did not feel like i need to wipe down and disinfect everything, the mattress itself looked brand new, the A/c / heater didnt have old dust on it, windows had no fingerprints on it, huge mirror on the wall, flat screem TV, shower AND full bathtub in the bathroom, multiple large fluffy towels waiting for me, granite countertops in bathroom, everything was perfect.||The room was so clean, it completely made me forget that there was ever guests staying in the room before me. ||I will DEFINITELY be back and will be referring my friends and family...
Read moreMarlo is a very bad at customer service. I suggest she be retrained. She is very rude to customers and gets very irritated when asked questions. Please don’t fire her, with her lack of professionalism she would struggle to find employment elsewhere. I was kicked out of the lobby for not haves an id after I paid for a room through a third party. I left my id at the airport and my cards were all tapped out from moving. So even though I paid already she said I could have a key because no I’d and no card for a deposit. That’s fine those are the rules. I told her I would go to the airport to get my ID and I could have someone call to give a credit card. She became visibly agitated and rude when she realized my card declined. I was having a stressful night because my flight was canceled and now this. She ordered Me to leave and locked the doors behind and refused to open them to me. It was very cold out around 25f. I sat on the bench and ordered an Uber. Then a very nice gentleman named Scott came out to talk to me I was extremely upset about being treated so poorly after the terrible night I had. I thought Marlo sent him out to harass me so I did raise my voice at him at first but Scott stayed calm unlike Marlo and he treated me with respect unlike Marlo. He told Marlo I was ok to wait in th lobby. Thank you Scott because my Uber took over half an hour. After he told her this. I could hear Marlo across the lobby saying stuff to Scott that I was treating her bad because she’s a woman and she doesn’t have to be treated that way. I never said anythyrude to her the entire time.she sat there glaring at me the rest of the time and when I asked her her name she was very snarky. Normally don’t waste my time writing reviews but this is one of the worst cases of customer service...
