Local Heroes shows a total disregard for the health and safety of its employees and customers. Called in an order for take-out. Went inside to pick it up. Employees weren't wearing face masks. The counter did not have a plexiglass barrier. The cashier taking orders and handling money was also responsible for handing food orders to customers. No visible sanitation of the counters or touchscreen (which the cashier used to input the order, then swiveled around and had customers sign with their finger) occurred between customers. Neither did any hand washing. The orders waiting to be picked up were placed in open bags, less than three feet from the employees preparing the food. Another order (bag also wide open) was sitting on the counter directly in front of customers. Social distancing was not practiced by either the staff or its customers. No limits were placed on the number of customers allowed inside at one time. No visible signage encouraging customers to stand 6 ft apart. Employees were shoulder to shoulder in the kitchen. Small groups of people waiting for orders were sitting at tables located next to the entrance and at tables adjacent to the counter. I've been a customer of Local Heroes since they first opened. I expected better. Was dismayed to discover no health and safety precautions had been implemented. It's been six weeks since the county issued orders and recommendations regarding Covid-19. Local Heroes has been open this entire time. Would be understandable to encounter a few of these conditions early on. But not six weeks later. A business that displays so little regard for the health and welfare of its employees does not deserve community support. I will not...

Service... always have had issues. Today was my last visit unfortunately. When I arrived with my family, there were two parties in front of us. I known the cadence is usually slow for taking orders. We had the chance to place the order and with the order, we had ordered 2 beers. She let me know she would be right with us at the bar they pour the beers. She had another group to take an order from behind us. I completely understood the wait. Once she finished the group, I had been waiting for 7 minutes while my family sat down. She then pulled the tips out of the jar and started counting them... I kindly asked if she was able to pour the beers. She replied "I'll be right with you". She continued to count the tips and split them up (I had just put $10 in there). After 3 more minutes and getting rather impatient with her lack of care that I was waiting for her to pour the beer (10 minutes waiting now) I asked again, this time directly asking if she can pour the beers so I can go sit down with my family. Again "I have to finish this, I'll be right with you" she replied.
Two minute later she came around to pour the beers and was obviously upset with me. She went on a bit of a rant of why she had to count the tips to split up between the employees that were getting off because it's the law. Also told some other reasons that had nothing to do with her cashiering... why would she not take a couple minutes to pour two beers after I have been patiently waiting and then count the tips?
I live here in town and given this place chance after chance. Today was my last....
Read more50/50 at best. I was having my last meal before starting my Keto program and intermittent fasting and a big, juicy cheeseburger was how I wanted to go out. I had only tasted fries from Local Heroes before and after reading how great their burgers were, I thought I had chosen wisely. My daughter had also ordered a cheeseburger as well, sans the bun. Her burger was perfectly cooked, she had ordered the A Town. I ordered the Super Hero with no substitutions. Additionally, I ordered fries and onion rings. My burger was so red in the middle it was still cold and soft. I was never asked how I wanted it cooked and in most cases, fast food restaurants cook them well done. I traditionally order mine medium rare, but happily eat well done, however, rare is not on my menu. My onion rings were cooked okay, but lacked seasoning. The fries were average. We were also given ranch that was thin and flavorless. I would have been happy to call back and ask for a replacement, but they were closed. We put it in as a to-go order at 7:25, picked up at 7:50 and they were closed by 8. By the time my daughter brought the food home, they were already closed. Customer service was friendly over the phone and the prices would have been fair if it was cooked and seasoned properly. My suggestion: be specific when ordering and if it is a to-go order, check it before leaving and skip the ranch unless you like bland, watery dressing. Not how I wanted to begin my new diet, and now it's too late to...
