One of the first 5-Star reviews I have given with 100% confidence - I couldn’t be happier with this experience!! We needed a place to grab some food after a visit to Family Fall Fun in Waterloo, and their vegetarian menu options and delicious sounding cocktails are what piqued my interest. They were rather busy on this Saturday around 8-9 pm, but there was also a fall festival happening right outside their front door that we were not aware was going to be going on. Despite that, service didn’t seem to be impacted at all, as we didn’t spend more than an hour there (one drink each, appetizer, meals) and the staff could not have been more hospitable and kind! Not only did a kind gentleman, who we assumed to be an owner/manager, stop by to check in on us and make sure everything was okay, but we had one of the most delightful waitresses I have EVER had at any restaurant. Thank you so so much to Madison (Madyson?) for being a sweetheart while you served us, I truly appreciate how much effort and care you put into it. I really hope the rest of the staff there is as wonderful as the two we directly encountered! The amazing food was just the cherry on top, I had the falafel Mediterranean Pita with a Raspberry Lemon Drop and my boyfriend got the pulled pork Mac & Cheese with a Blood Orange Mule. We were beyond satisfied and had more than enough for leftovers to enjoy later tonight. If you are a local or are just passing through Auburn, I would argue that this is a must-have to satisfy your...
Read moreMy husband and I were humiliated and discriminated against tonight in Auburn, Indiana at Mad Anthony's Taproom. We had been traveling, and were picked up by a business associate and his wife in a parking lot and driven to this restaurant. We forgot masks, so when we saw the sign on the door we covered our faces with our hands and were led to the very back corner to a table. We were looking at our menus when the waitress came to us and asked us to show her our masks. We explained to her the situation about traveling and not having them and she told us that since we had not worn them into the restaurant then they could not serve us food. Incredulously, we looked around at all the other tables where nobody was wearing them and asked if we had to wear them while sitting at the table. She said we did not but since we had come in the door without them we could not order any food. She asked us if we wanted to go talk to a manager and she looked very embarrassed about it so we said yes. The manager came and demanded we show her our masks and we repeated the whole process. I even offered to cover my face with a napkin, but that was unacceptable. My husband's business colleague asked if she wanted us to leave and she got very emotional and said that it was obvious that we were not going to leave so she would have to serve us food. Again, we offered to leave. But she left us all upset. It was insane. This world is a very sad place right now. It's neither the land of the free or the home...
Read moreAttempted to eat at this restaurant for the first time with a party of four. Had ordered a chicken dish with mashed potatoes and asparagus with cream sauce. When it arrived it looked and tasted like two small pieces of chicken tenders. When cut into the chicken it wasn't fully cooked and pink in the middle. Why not get rid of the chicken tenders and replace it with a nice size piece of chicken breasts..that would look more appealing and would taste so much better. Potatoes were cold too. I returned the food to whom I believe was a manager who was a short guy never apologize or asked if I wanted anything else he was pure rude and handled this issue inappropriate. Had coffee to drink and first cup was cold and only had a side salad and a cup of hot coffee. Another person in my party had ordered a patty melt and the cheese wasn't melted and the meat was raw in the middle.. sounds like your restaurant needs the health department to come in to educate your staff on checking temperatures or maybe you're trying to make people sick..Sarah the waitress was the only positive thing at your business and she felt really sad and was sincere about the food not being cooked correctly.
Thank you for your company response but why should I have to forward the poor food quality onto your Director of Operations. That should be something your company should do considering we are the customers that did attempt to come to you and pay for yours and your employees salaries and your...
