Mr. Pickle's Sandwich Shop - Auburn, CA — Restaurant in Auburn

After a lengthy quarantine, a my husband in the hospital for 2 weeks, we finally got out of the house to run a few errands. My only request was going to get a Mr. Pickle sandwich. Picked a Big Jake, mouth surgery last week, it's pretty soft. I asked for soft sliced bread and no toasting. She was very friendly and seemingly efficient. My husband ordered a rueben. We were smelling all the way home to LOP....I opened the parchment and first thing I see is ciabatta roll and it was toasted. Then pulled off the top off and found a lump of melted cream cheese, with all of the ingredients melted into a lump inside. Inedible. On the other hand, the rueben was on soft bread and it was untoasted. Xz After everything all I wanted was Mr. Pickle sandwich. We were the only people in the store @ 9:30 in the morning. I might sound really whiny but after I chose you guys and $21.00 + I still haven't had lunch @ 1:30. Attention to details...it's not like the store was swamped...it will...

This Mr. Pickles is a good example of how new owners/management can change a local favorite for the worse. I used to come here 2-3 times a week and I would say even under the old owners/management service was slipping a little but still pretty good. Early this year I believe it was sold and then ever since prices kept rising and service/quality of food kept lowering.

Last 2-3 times I've been they've forgot to put Avocado on my "Mr Pickle" signature sandwich.............even though I made no alterations to the sandwich and just asked for it the way it is on the menu. If you can't even follow your own menu and just make the sandwiches the way they are supposed...

Mr. Pickles is my favorite deli style sandwich place in Auburn! It's always clean, the employees are always courteous and friendly and they use quality ingredients.....

Not any more...I am your customer. Please don't embroiled me in your political controversies. When I get a chance to grab a bite to eat all I want is to eat in peace, and not be accosted by your employees pushing their political agenda on me, and when those controversies cause a franchisee to be stripped of his livelihood and his business (re: Davis Ca.) you've gone too far.
