I read some of the reviews and agreed with some things but overall it was good food ok smoothie and great atmosphere. It had a mom with her young kids of different ages, a couple older folks and me a middle aged woman. Loved the way it’s styled and the way it feels. Friendly staff, even asked me if I enjoyed everything. I did try a smoothie out of my comfort zone because wanted something with lemon flavored but it was over powered by the lemon flavor. Avocado sandwich was amazing, I wish it wasn’t cold though. The cream cheese was cold I believe but don’t think there’s a way to warm cream cheese, room temperature would have been lovely. I do have to say this isn’t a restaurant with chef’s, it’s a diner and I would probably order that sandwich again. I want to come back to try their loaded oatmeal and teas. This was awhile ago because I have my Ugg boots on, so during this winter season. Trying to get better at leaving reviews. Oh and I too had a long wait time even though it wasn’t busy at all, it was early in the morning. That’s definitely my main reason for not having visit again! Definitely if service was faster I would visit more often. I don’t have time to chill in a dinner for a hour in the morning. So definitely this spot is more geared to college students. Still 5’a all around! Update on experience, recently went back to try their oatmeal and enjoyed it. Customer service was still good but my wait has much improved! Wait time was not long at all! Oh I also prior to this visit ordered online the Tex mex breakfast casserole and that was a fairly easy process, food was ready...

Edit: When a review is written it doesn’t determine the success or consistency of your business and the doors being open. It’s simply a persons personal experience that they are entitled to share. Our issues were brought up and some were fixed. I worked in the service industry for years so on some level I understand that things happen and I love to support local businesses but there is no need to be snotty and rude. Also, stalking my Instagram to figure out what group I am with is super weird and unprofessional. No company is perfect but I would highly recommend customer service training for the owner of the bean. Take a note and put it in your pocket.

Maybe it’s just me? I have been to the bean several times in both the old and new locations and have had wishy washy experiences. Sometimes you get what you ask/pay for and sometimes they forget and you don’t get anything at all (I will say they did offer to fix me something but by that time everyone had eaten and it was time to leave). Three people we were with had to have their coffees remade because it wasn’t what they asked for or tasted “off”. Edit: Sometimes the employees are nice and sometimes they make you feel rushed and have unwelcoming personalities. Because of this, I only go when there is a group event “making” me go. I really want to like this place but it’s hard to when things aren’t consistent. I have friends who rave about the place but if you ask me I’d...

My finace and I decided to try this place since it's within walking distance of where we live. It was crowded, but our orders were taken quickly. My fiance's order was taken first as he just order a vanilla chai latte. I order next a vanilla chai latte and a Tex Mex breakfast casserole. We waited almost an hour to get our orders and mine came out first even though my fiance ordered his first and ONLY ordered a drink. His came out about 15 minutes later. The vanilla chais tasted absolutely disgusting. There was no vanilla to taste and they both tasted like hot water with a ton of cinnamon thrown on top to make it look fancy. On top of that, they gave me a regular breakfast casserole and when I asked about it they said they had run out of ingredients and I never got a refund for the difference between the two. The drink ended up making me sick later on. The location also causes a difficult situation with getting home. People park on both sides of the road, basically causing barely enough space for a single car to get through (it's supposed to be a two lane road) and it is causing a traffic hazard. I have nearly crashed into vehicles trying to come from the opposite direction...

I’ve wanted to visit the shop for a while and it’s pretty good. Decorations are mixed retro-modern, fairly large space so it’s suitable & comfortable for working & studying. I got hot cappuccino with mocha flavor, which is good but not really different with other café. My cup is pretty big so if you get it, you can chill with your ONE drink for hours to work/study 🙂Will try different drinks next time.

I like the new location and the fact that they kept the vintage furniture and decor. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. I had a latte with peanut butter flavor and it was tasty. I also order a piece of the southwestern breakfast casserole and it was good but could've been a little more spicy. Overall a great vibe and experience.
