The Deli at Sixth & Main — Restaurant in Auburn

I used to go here frequently but then moved away, so I try to stop by when I’m in town and they’re open. Last time we went there and the food was amazing as always, but the lady working was not very nice. I didn’t think too much of it. Well fast forward to today and it was the same lady working. Had such a horrible attitude with everything I said to her. I had ordered a sandwich, and she put it in the computer wrong so they had to remake it. She came back and slammed the tray down on my table and didn’t say a word. Then as we were eating, she kept staring at our table/my girlfriend and my girlfriend glared right back. I wish I knew the workers name so I could send her a picture of us, not like she’d forget us anyway with as much as she stared at us. I loved this place when I lived in Auburn and told everyone around how great it was, and the food is great, but this worker has gotta go work at a landfill or something because her attitude...

I have been to this place many times. The food is great and it is a local place to support. The biggest issue I have with them is customer service. When you're on a limited time frame for lunch and call in an order ahead for carryout, you are immediately placed on hold for over 10 minutes. Their version of hold is the cashier laying the phone on the counter while you listen to everyone else order their food ahead of you because they are standing there in person. It doesn't matter to the cashier that you contacted them first before others who may be standing in line. This isn't just a one-time occurrence, it happens every. single. time. It's frustrating enough that you just hang up the phone and spend your money at another restaurant. They really need to figure out a better way to take orders more efficiently if they are going to take them both over the phone...

My first time here excellent location with some great views looking south east with a city hall view. The food we ordered was really good, we ordered a cup of turkey chilly and half a durbin sandwich or for some a simple Ham & Cheese Sandwich. Condiments are a ask for product like mustard, mayo, ketchup. Just to recap our food it really was great for a sandwich and soup combo. The Deli At 6th and Main is definitely a place for a second visit their menu has plenty to chose from.
