I placed a catering order online for a party (50 guests) over 24 hours in advance and when we went to pick up the order, we discovered the restaurant was closed! Thankfully Guthrie's bailed us out and cooked 150 fingers for us quickly to save my party. My credit card was charged for the food upon order as well. So not only did I not get food, but I also paid for it.
The next day, I waited until around lunch time and since I hadn't heard from them I called the store. I was told I needed to come in to get my refund and then I was hung up on when I asked for clarification (hoping I wouldn't have to travel again to this store when I placed the order online originally). Talk about an inconvenience! And who hangs up on customers?
I arrived after I got off work to get my refund (thankfully it was before 6). There were two customers waiting for food and several employees there. A few were cooking in the back and a few were preparing a decent sized order. Another in the drive thru was just standing there. Eye contact was made with me by at least two employees and nobody even spoke to me. That isn't even simple courtesy.
Eventually the manager came around to help me. He was polite and understanding and refunded me. I was not happy and he dealt with the situation well. He explained to me that the corporate system for taking orders wasn't supposed to allow an order since they were closed. He also stated that they don't get notified when the order goes in - only on the day of the order. Since they were closed, nobody knew of the order.
Half of this review is for how poorly I was treated by the employees at this location that wasn't the manager (hung up on, ignored, etc). The other half is how poorly the corporate online ordering system is handled. Money shouldn't be charged to a credit card until the product is delivered. If the location is closed, orders shouldn't be allowed to be placed for that time. Notifications should be sent to the local store long before the day of the order. Had those things been in place, this wouldn't have happened.
Auburn is blessed to have many chicken finger establishments. I will be using them from now on. ...
Read moreI will NEVER eat here again. My wife tried to go through the drive thru and order 2 orders one for her and one for one of the people she works with. She’s gets up to the window and they tell her they can’t split her tender. (Mind you my wife is pregnant and on her lunch break) and they tell her to come in and they can split it up. My wife is on the phone with me the whole time. She simply stated this is ridiculous that she had to go inside when there are multiple people that come through there and have multiple orders and never have had a problem splitting payment. So my wife goes inside to split the tender and they REFUSED her the food because she was cussing out the employees. NOT ONCE did she cuss at an employee. And here’s the sad part the DISTRICT MANAGER was there and didn’t do a thing about it and took the employees side. WOW I WILL NEVER GO HERE...
Read moreThis Zaxby's is one of the worst serviced establishment that I have ever eaten at. My husband is a creature of habit and eats at this specific Zaxby's at least once a week and orders the same thing every time. With this being said the food price is always different and the service is always less than desirable. We have given this Zaxby's multiple chances but are always disappointed. Lastly, today I went and my food order was completely wrong (A big Zaxby's snack meal with a Coke Zero) then I was asked to pull forward to wait 20 minutes. My right order was then brought out while the young lady was texting on her phone. I say all this in hopes that a manager or franchise owner (someone who can make a difference) sees this and works with this Zaxby's. A food establishment in Auburn should/ could do...
