The Brack Shack Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Auburndale

I really was hoping this place would be great. It was not, AT ALL. Walk in, nobody is friendly, 1st time so we are like, hey do we order here? The girl says yes, hands us Menus. Ordering then became interesting, I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with 2 sides & bread, which is $15.99, with okra ($1 up charge bc it’s “special”) and tater tots rang up $1 extra as well - not listed as an up charge on the menu, so I switched to cole slaw. We order the rest of my families meals and it was around $60 for family of 4. Well- food comes and I provided pictures, I get a boiled inedible chicken slab sitting in a pool of grease (me and my husband tried and could not chew it) and coleslaw, no okra, waitress says it’ll be out in a minute. Then, Who I assume is a manager comes out a minute later and says “sorry we are out of okra”… I said fine, I’ll take tots instead. I went back up front and told the girl my entire original plate was trash. The cole slaw was flavorless and not saucy, I also never got bread which is listed and I upgraded to try their Texas toast. The manager again comes out to apologize and did comp my meal. Well, because I hadn’t eaten all day and only had tots I try sampling my daughter sweet potato fries which are COLD! $1 upcharge for those as well. Shortly after my son finished his brisket mac egg rolls, he throws up!!! So, in short the only thing worth ordering there is tater tots which are an up charge. They offered to give us coupons to go back but we declined. I have no desire to ever eat...

I am new to the area and i am a truck driver one of my buddies recommended this place to me since he is a local from Auburndale. I brought my in-laws and family here. As soon as we walked in the room the patrons just staired at us some even whispered and we GOT to dirty looks. So this friendly atmosphere that all other review are talking about on applies if you are WHITE! We were going to leave but my wife said who cares! the girl at the counter greeted us and took our order she was not rude she was accommodating and did her job just fine. This place has good wings! and the smash burger we also good! We spend about 125.00 and got decent portions no complain other than it was extremely greasy more than expected. Its just sad because i can see this place even catering some events i have coming up and its really why we wanted to try it but we left feeling un welcomed and not the friendly welcoming environment we were expecting. This place lacks diversity and its not progressive and when it come to business everyone should be welcome no matter what your ethnicity or color of your skin is. Ok so if only this place had great sweet tea I would have been able to give it 5 stars. I have no other drink choice besides an Arnold palmer so I was highly disappointed but was overly excited when I tasted their chopped chicken with mac and cheese, baked beans and French fries. The mac was tasty, cheesy, hot and fresh. The beans had such a flavorful taste. I wasn't too excited when I ordered the chop chicken but to my surprise it was not that bad, it literally complimented the entire meal. My daughter ordered the egg roll brisket and mac cheese , it was well seasoned, filled with meat, wish they added more mac and cheese and she loved it. My friend ordered the Philly cheese steak egg roll , crunchy on the outside and tasty on the inside not being stingy with meat, cheese and peppers. My only gripe was the size and price of the eggroll. We also ordered a cinnamon cookie dough egg roll that I haven't tried yet cause we driving and didn't want to get chocolate everywhere, being that it had already spilled in the bag.
