We’ve had this place on our radar for a while now. As lovers of Dominican food who truly miss the rich, home-style flavors we used to enjoy up north, we were excited to finally check it out — and it absolutely delivered. This is exactly what South Jersey has been needing: a spot that brings authentic Dominican flavor, elevated with an upscale vibe and warm, genuine hospitality.

The layout is high-end and thoughtfully designed, and the service was truly immaculate. The owner is a super cool guy who clearly pours his heart into every detail, from the ambiance to the food. We started with the beef empanadas — perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with seasoned beef that instantly transported us back to the Dominican spots we loved in places like Washington Heights and the Bronx. The oxtail with rice and beans was fall-off-the-bone tender, deeply flavorful, and paired with creamy beans and fluffy rice that had clearly been prepared with care. The chicharrones and tostones were just as impressive — golden, crunchy, and packed with that signature Dominican soul.

What really sets this place apart is the energy. You can feel the passion in the food and in the way guests are treated. It’s more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back for the live music and dancing. If you’ve been craving real Dominican flavor and a place that feels like home with a touch of...

We had the blessing of experiencing Cafe Nitido with our friends in celebration of one of their birthdays.

From the minute we walked in, I knew it was going to be amazing.

The young man who greeted us was warm, welcoming and friendly.

The vibe is chill, but stylish and intentional- even the bathrooms were themed; the music was on point and set a nice ambience. Everything is clean and the staff is on point!

The Owner came out and greeted us and answered all of our questions and made recommendations.

There were six of us and we had the entire place to ourselves.

We literally ate from each section of the menu: Their portions are super generous! Drinks: Fresh juices and frozen drinks (N/A) Appetizers- Veggie tacos and calamari- delicious! Oxtails, Carne guisado; rice and beans; sweet plantains; red snapper with mix veg and shrimp mofongo. YUM! Desserts- creme brulee, flan , tres leches cake... SOO GOOD!

If I could give this place 10+ stars I would totally do it!

Go there NOW! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The hubby and I just had an amazing dinner experience at Cafe Nitido. First impression was an A+ with the decor and then we were greeted warmly by the owner. After selecting a table we were excited to peruse the menu seeing several options available regardless of dietary preferences. We each had a chicken empnada as an appetizer which was delish!!! For our entrees the hubby had the codfish nitido and I had the grilled salmon, both did not disappoint. The sauce on the cod was so good hubby wanted to "take a swim in it". The grilled salmon was about the best I ever had. Ordered it prepared "medium" and it came out perfect. Each entree came with a side of rice and beans and very generous in the portion size. Was a great experience and we are already planning what we will have next time. Thanks to our gracious host Leo and to Ingrid's amazing culinary talents for a wonderful...

#ohheyyy my friend @madebymariap said we have to check out Cafe Nitido in Audobon, NJ, so @angie_eileen_solymar and I took a ride to experience their authentic Dominican cuisine. ☕️We started out with a freshly brewed Greca blend coffee made with beans from the hispanic owned @doncarvajalcafe in NY. 🍴Then came the empanadas, so of course we did an obligatory cheers, and loved both the chicken and the beef. 🍴They plated the calamari beautifully and the grilled wings were made to perfection, so delicious and tasty. And if you’ve had Mangu, then you’ll love their Tres Golbes. That’s a whole meal in it itself! 🐟 Then came the Fried Whole Red Snapper, which was delish. 🌾 And of course had to see what their customer favorite, the mofongo was all about, there were a few great choices, but since we are fancy, we opted for the surf and turf. 🍰 And for dessert. Why try just one? We indulged in the creme brûlée, tres leches, apple pie and banana pie, all homemade! ➡️ Check them out for lunch and dinner all week long, and now brunch on Saturday and Sunday’s. #cafenitido #audobon #newjersey #nightout #friends #dominican #dominicancuisine #lunch #dinner #brunch #thecitypulse
