Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Augusta

I was VERY disappointed with this visit. I attribute a small portion to the circumstances of the storm's impact, however, the major reasons are not. I ordered an eight piece MIXED meal. I was informed that there would be a three minute wait because there was not enough dark meat to complete the order. I asked whether or not I could just get white meat and was told the price would be alot higher because of the choice pieces, so I opted to wait. No problem. I waited much longer, due to the circumstances. Again, no problem. When I received my order, however, I only received 2 (TWO) pieces of white meat: one breast and one wing. The rest of the order was 4 thighs and one drumstick. There was an advertised special for legs and thighs. That was NOT what I ordered, nor was that what I thought I was paying for. Unfortunately, I guess I should have had a clue when there was a tray full of white meat and I had to wait for dark meat. Or Maybe the preparer didn't know the difference between a breast and a thigh. I was not given the option of spicy or mild, just given mild. I happened to find out that Church's has mild as I was leaving. I accept that I likely should have looked around and made myself aware of what was offered, but again, due to circumstances, it didn't occur to me, nor did the cashier ask "Spicy or Mild", as is usually done is places where both are available. Just a suggestion: the cashiers should ask whether or not the customer wants spicy or mild before asking "Will that complete your order?" Instead, I was told that I have to ask for spicy. I had a take out order, with sides requiring utensils, yet I was not offered or given any. It was not so busy that the person who put my meal together should lack the presence of mind to...

I haven’t ate here since I was a child. I had a 2 piece. I was told I had to wait 20min on Chicken and ended up waiting 30 min. As you can see my order is a drive through order yet I still had to enter the restaurant to pick up my order after being told it would be brought outside. This little girl at the register decided to ignore the fact that my order should’ve been ready 30 mins ago and continues to pull chicken from the chicken I just waited for on a drive thru order. I decided to get a refund after they decided to keep telling me 2 minutes on the order after 35 minutes. This is bad for business to cause a customer to be frustrated over two tiny pieces of chicken. Everyone here looks unclean so probably best decision I’ve ever made. Disgusted wouldn’t feed this trash...

I got a 5 piece tender meal with okra and a sweet tea. Keep in mind I haven't been to a Church's in maybe 5 years. My first bite almost killed me lol. I don't mean something was wrong no, my meal was absolutely delicious. The tenders were juicy and had that satisfying crunch with every bite, the okra was fried perfectly and they didn't turn soggy over time like most places that serve them. The only thing I recommend, is pulling over (or just waiting) before you eat that warm biscuit you get with every meal. It melts in your mouth if you eat it warm (at least for me) and please, keep your eyes on the road while you eat it (so you won't scare yourself...
