Me and my family pulled into this DQ location on Central Avenue after a very long road trip .We wanted DQ's parmasean chicken tenders and some burgers and ice cream. We needed a large order. The time was about 8:30 last night .I tried to order the 5 dollar tender meal deals, and I wanted my tenders garlic parmasean i was going to buy 5 meal deals and a few burger combos . The young girl on the drive thru said tenders with the meal deal can not be parmasean. So i asked if I could pay extra to get them parmasean she said no. This was strange because I've ordered that before on the meal deal, and I let her know that .I asked the young girl at the window what was the biggest tender order since i couldn't get the meal deals. She told me I could get a very expensive 12 piece tender, but she could not make them parmasean, and no sides were included. I asked why i couldn't get my tenders parmasean. She said they could only do 4 piece parmasesn tender, and that was it .So me and my left with no food this was the most aggravating drive-thru experience I've ever had. I doubt if I will ever return to this location. Normally, if a customer wants a certain sauce, the restaurant normally accommodates them sometimes theirs an up charge if it's feasible, and the customer is willing to pay for what they want .This was absolutely bizarre. Never ever have i experienced anything like this . She also seemed humored by this interaction. This was a horrible experience for me and my family after traveling...
Read moreI personally work at a Dairy Queen myself and this place is terrible. I first ordered a cookie jar blizzard which the server said “we have a cookie dough” (not the same thing). I then was like okay can I have a Jurassic chomp blizzard instead and he said that they no longer have that which is understandable since the one I work at has also ran out of the buckeye pieces. I then just ask for a mini chocolate brownie extreme blizzard with chocolate soft serve. However when my order comes out I somehow got a mini heath blizzard (with vanilla soft serve) which I completely lately do not understand. Also my brother had gotten a royal Oreo blizzard which there was no cold fudge done the center. Which he then gets remade and again gets no cold fudge in the middle. My mother also ordered a twist cone with crunch on it which apparently the server had no clue what that was so instead she orders it with fudge which when it comes out she just gets a plain vanilla cone. Finally both of the blizzards were extremely underportioned and if those were served at my own Dairy Queen that I work out I would have to add more ice cream and blend it again (also both blizzards were barely blended and there was just vanilla ice cream at the bottom). So overall I am very disappointed with the service at this...
Read moreI have loved this Dairy Queen since I was a child. My mom would take me, my siblings, and cousins to this Dairy Queen before going to catch a movie in the adjacent shopping plaza. Those were the days!!! The early 80's were some of the best times of my life. I love the taste of their burgers here. I love charbroiled hamburgers. It gives the meat an amazing taste. This location has since had a facelift in recent years and changed owners but the service and food is still great. The ice cream is always great too. My mom and I recently had lunch here and had the $5 lunch deal, which is pretty good. You get a choice of bacon cheeseburger, chicken tenders, or hotdog. You also get an order of fries, a drink, and a sundae of your choice. We both were stuffed after dining here. I think this is one of the best lunch deals in town!!! This lunch deal is available from 11am-4pm everyday. I can see my stopping here a few times a month to grab lunch!!! I also love the fact that all Dairy Queens have started to offer Orange Julius drinks. I love these drinks as a kid and could only get them at the mall. So this was great news to me!!! The staff is always attentive and very pleasant. So whether I'm reminiscing on great times or eating great food, I will be a...
