Tried this tonight and will never be going back. Service was horrible. Our waitress started out very helpful and attentive but once our food arrived, she didn't come back until we were putting our coats on getting ready to leave. When the waitress brought out the soup we asked for another packet of crackers for our young, hungry kids but she didn't bring it until she brought the rest of the food out. When we told her the food was barely edible, she didn't care. The food was gross and incredibly salty. Here's what we ordered and what was bad about it: -Pulled pork sandwich with fries and cream of chicken with rice soup. The pork was very low quality, fries were ok and soup was way too salty. -Santa Fe BBQ chicken salad. First off, the waitress recommended the dressing on the side, then charged me for extra dressing and never even gave it to me! There were onions in the salad even though that wasn't listed in the description of ingredients. Finally, the chicken had so much pepper that it was almost entirely black. -Kid's Mac & cheese with chocolate milk. Waitress brought out regular milk and again, never came back so we couldn't get it fixed. Mac & cheese had barely any flavor. My kids who love Mac & cheese wouldn't eat it. -Kid's chicken tenders with steamed broccoli and chocolate milk. Same with the milk above. Chicken tenders were halfway decent, but lacked flavor and were really tough. The broccoli had so much salt that it almost seemed like the lid feel off the salt shaker and a whole container dumped on it. Also, the broccoli was a very strange color of puke-green. I can't stress enough that our waitress just completely ignored our table so we were never given the opportunity to request the food be corrected. Only positives- the inside of the business appeared clean and I appreciated the glass barrier between the bar and the...
Read moreI visited this place a few days ago with some friends. They're one of the few quick bite places in the area that stay open past midnight on a Sunday. The establishment itself is attractive and clean. The atmosphere was pretty laid back, but then again it was a Sunday night. Drinks are a bit overpriced. I chose not to order one. I ate the Philly steak sandwich which included a bowl of French onion soup and fries. From my experience eating at sit-in restaurants, I get a fairly large portion of fries; here, I didn't have enough fries to last the whole sandwich. Fries were nice and thick, and seasoned, too. The meat on the sandwich was inadequately seasoned. It took the addition of pickles, giardiniera, & mustard for it to have good flavor. I was highly disappointed in the French onion soup. The soup had a piece of bread floating atop, and was garnished with a little powdered parmesan cheese. There were rather large pieces of sliced onion in there, and it actually tasted more like au jus from an Italian beef sandwich. My friends ate the bone in wings with sauce and the chili cheese fries, all of which received praises. Customer service was good. The most important part of the review is this: use cash when paying instead of card. My card was erroneously charged twice for the same transaction. I called and explained the situation, and although I was reimbursed, it was still $2 short. They told me it's a common issue with their register system. So maybe get it fixed, then? Anyway, I may come back to pay for some wings-and...
Read moreGood place to watch a Blackhawks game Food and soup was good. They had pints of Guinness $4 for St Patricks Day!!! People next to me had the Corned Beef Special and said in years past they made it from fresh brisket and was better then? But it looked ok otherwise I gave 5 stars because the service was great and overall Its actually a nice place. Don't let this next part keep you from visiting as overall sanitation. **Only real issue with me was fruit flies by the bar which is more commen then people may think. Please take this as just trying to help your bussiness. First I suggest to address this asap, if not sooner with a little effort of training staff such as cleaning areas frequently as they breed in standing water and drains mostly. Try covering garbage or removing frequently and bartenders keep your slop sinks clear of old fruit this will take away there food source. Treat all drains sinks etc with enzyme not bleach and cover all bottles of liquor and beer lines overnight when not in use. Use quat and spray down all food contact areas and do the same in the kitchen. Get plastic cups fill 1/3 with apple cider vinegar and a a few drops of cherry syrup then cover with plastic and poke holes it will trap & kill the adults... I am only trying to help before it gets worse or if Health Department writes a violation. They can spread germs and cause bigger issues if you do...
