Mother's Pancake House & Restaurant - AURORA — Restaurant in Aurora Township

I stopped in to have a bite to eat and wait while my kitty was in surgery down the street at VCA. I sat there for about 4 hours and got breakfast (and lunch to go)

First off, the place is beautiful, and the booths were very comfy. I brought my work laptop with me, and the gentleman behind the counter found me a spot to plug in.

My waitress was super nice and checked in appropriately. It was a Wednesday morning, so it was pretty quiet. She kept my coffee full and shared my excitement when I got the call from the vet everything was okay and the surgery went well. Very cool of her. I also noticed that the staff knew almost everyone that came in by name, but still made me (someone from out of the area) feel welcome.

The breakfast was insanely good, great portions, and was fresh and tasty. I'm basic and like scrambled eggs; when I say these are the best scrambled eggs I've ever had, I mean it. They were so fluffy! How did they do that? The bacon was the perfect crisp level, the hashbrowns looked like they were out of a magazine, and the pancake was incredible. 10/10 all around.

I got lunch to go, since the surgery was a success and my little girl was ready to be picked up. I picked the turkey club, and man. The fries were so tasty, I ate half on the way home. They're battered, crispy, and super delicious.

I have been going here for years and have never been dissatisfied! The portions are large the staff is friendly and Im always full when i leave.

I take my Girlfriend and our Daughter here for Breakfast all the time. I live very close by and it is a great place to eat. My favorites here are the thick french toast or the blueberry pancakes. Lunch here is also very good with many different choices of sandwichs soups and always complimentary bread.

I have loved this place for years ever since it first became "mothers" and I will continue to go as long as the food stays the same or better! And the staff remains friendly.

After seeing the reviews I cant believe the negative feedback on here! I had to write a review. PS the climate is fine inside the building, Food is great and the staff is very nice!

As far as the bad reviews why would you order fish at a breafast place...... again Breakfast here is always A+++++ and I haven't had a bad lunch here either!

I would say the temp in this building is around 70 Degrees on my average visit. I think it is a fine temperature for my hour or less breakfast if you need it any colder im sure they have a fine freezer in back to eat in LOL. (The one star reviews are pretty critical so I have to defend one of my favorite local breafast...

I went here on 8/5/17 at about 9am. I ordered the chicken ranch avocado wrap meal. I ate the soup because that was the first part of my meal that came out. Then I received my wrap and fries shortly after. While eating my wrap I noticed that there was a long black hair in between the chicken. I knew it couldn't be mine because my hair was braided back. I brought it to the attention of the waitress and she acted like it wasn't a big thing, she took my plate and didn't come back for about 10 minutes. When she finally did come back she asked my friend and I if we wanted anything else and if we wanted to split the check. My friend asked her why did I still have to pay for my meal. The waitress stated that I needed to pay for my soup then walked away. The manager never came to our table to address the issue, but she made sure to be at the register at the end to see if I was paying for my soup. I could have made a big deal about it, but I figured if they were that hard up for $3.85 I would give it to them. I just know that I will never come back and I will never advise anyone else to go there. The customer service was terrible. I've never had hair in my food before but I know the situation was suppose to be handled better than what it was. First and last time...
