Oak Street Restaurant And Bar — Restaurant in Aurora Township

I’ve been to oak street plenty of times I really try to give this restaurant a chance because I see potential but no how much I try it’s still the same unfortunately I’ve ordered a chicken parmesan tons of times and each time the chicken was dry and cold and when there’s cheese on the top of the chicken it’s not even melted. Spaghetti and garlic bread came with the meal as well and the spaghetti never had any flavor to it and the garlic bread was soggy and drenched in olive oil it was like a sponge in a way but I can give credit to them for there appetizers with mozzarella sticks, ribs, wings, onion rings and potato skins it was delicious that’s the only thing I can give an applause to but the thing I hate to criticize the most is our waitress now I hate criticizing anyone because you can never know what they’re going through in there personal life and especially in wherever he or she have busy days as there working at a restaurant but as I said from the beginning I’ve been here a lot and have had this waitress a lot too but each time we have her me and my family feel we are ignored by her and feel like she’s mad at us and kinda we feel awkward whenever we have her as a waitress and the outside of the restaurant says mask are required now I’m never the type of person to go crazy about a mask but I’m confused when I see half of the staff members aren’t wearing mask and some staff are. As I said before this place has potential with the bar and watching a Sunday football game while you drink and eat with your love ones the problem is the food and some staff I hope it...

I’ve been there several times and it’s mediocre as far as service. When I play the slots it’s about 40 degrees hotter than the bar, they need fans or something. The restroom smells horrible and the staff is entirely dismissive. You almost have to raise your hand for attention. I’ve given them a few tries but today was my last! I came in around 3pm today and the bartender seems nice but then I realize she’s only nice to the regulars who buy her drinks! As soon as she was off she sat at the bar and talked horrible things about patrons who had been there earlier (and bought her drinks) then she proceeded to take extra tip money that the incoming bartender gave her as extra tips and proceeded to sit at the slot machines. It doesn’t stop there. She then went to tables of people with their families and children and made them uncomfortable. All the while I sat at the bar and watched her show unfold. Why an establishment that has such a good reputation would employ someone who behaves this way is beyond me. I cannot patronize a place like this after hearing the things she was saying and watching this things she was doing. I really believe that the Bar staff is burnt out they don’t care about their service, they don’t care about providing good service at that! I’ve worked in the industry, in the suburbs for a long time. Never would I have behaved the way she did today, and I hope somebody recognizes who I’m talking about. Before I leave a review, I hope I can speak with the people in charge. I’d hate to leave a negative comment until things are remedied..

Update- I haven’t heard from anyone yet, next step will be to contact the police. I’ve been harassed and traumatized and I have no idea why! I’ve only been coming there for the last 6 months. I’ve brought my kids for lunch, I’ve met my friend for a drink at the bar twice. Mostly I pop in and play slots and have a few drinks. Suddenly the last 2 times I’ve come in, I’ve been attacked by men and someone who works there said something I didn’t understand calling me Robert? I don’t know what I did to have people harass me I’ve never been rude. I always tip well, I’m traumatized by the men that have been attacking me. Another person who works there told me that one of the bartenders thinks I made a bad review about her and she had her friends attack me. I never did and I don’t even know who she is.
