Decided to try this place out since we drive by it all the time. It was my birthday and my son's first time trying sushi and I wish we would have just stuck to our usual spot. I'm surprised that people go back here and that there is good reviews. the worst Sushi I've ever had. I literally had to wash down each piece with water. My sons was also awful. Will not be back and would definitely not recommend. I was surpirsed how slow they were. Our usual spot usaly has a line out the door for their dinner menu....guess now we know why this place barely had any customers at all. Sashimi smelled bad and was all "mushed" I should have took a picture but being the only people in the restaurant I wasn't trying to be totally obvious and rude. The reviews must be all family cause this place was dead and I cant imagine any sushi lover coming back with so many other wonderful options around. I usually feel amazing after a good sushi dinner. But now I can't get the taste of fish out of my mouth and not feeling to great at all. Fyi pretty sure its not family owned and or opperated. Majority of the cooking staff and sushi chiefs were...
Read moreHave been going here for 2 years now . And never have I gottten bad food . This place always has a Japanese sushi chef available which is rare in Colorado .The owner and his partner/head chef jimmy are both Japanese who take pride in their craft
Their karaage and takoyaki are my two favorite appetizers . The karage is only 4.99 and comes with Japanese mayo . I usually ask for tonkatsu sauce
Takoyaki comes with real octopus . I’m amazed that they make takoyaki as you need a machine for that thing .
As for lunch . The best deal is their Chinashi . For under 20 dollars you get a bed of sashimi over rice . It comes with a lottttt of sashimi and the egg hits the Japanese cravings
Lobster roll - my absolute favorite roll here . This has a small lobster tail with salmon on top ! For 14 dollars only it’s a steal in Denver .
Sake (salmon sashimi ) - haven’t had a better one in Denver . I’m not sure why but it’s aleays fresher here .
Happy hour - no one knows but there’s a happy hour here in Friday’s . I believe it’s at 10 PM .
See you soon Sonoda ! We love...

You honestly can't go wrong eating here. This place has been around since the 80's and the food is pure heaven.
We come here often from Parker to get our sushi fix. We honestly go big and make it a feast. All the dishes are freshen and decent sized. Their nigiri are a mouthful! I love all their rolls.
Try their Baked Green muscles and the yellow tail collar. We also enjoyed all their kitchen food items such has their udon and teriyaki chicken. My kids are always asking to come back.
Don't expect to come here for the ambiance, this is a small mom and pop shop that is all about the food and service. I love how we've become regulars where Makoto (sushi chef and owner) will take time away to come greet us.
I love seeing how they've established a business and built up regular customers!
If you're local or in the area, highly recommend...
