I was torn between a 1 star for this past experience, and a 3 star from overall experiences. I chose the three despite wanting to give them 1.
I love Einstein Bagels, I am particular to the blueberry but will accept plain. However today I wanted a blueberry, went there specifically for a blueberry, asked my colleague if they wanted anything, they wanted a chocolate chip and a coffee. So after waiting about 3 minutes to order, I placed the whole order, they put it in the computer. Got to the window and was addressed by the drive through lady about 2 minutes later, which was fine, it was busy. She took my money, and started getting my order together. First the coffee, then came back with the chocolate chip bagel to tell me they were all out of blueberry. She seemed confused what to do.
I asked for a refund, I was disappointed, and frankly starving, but I knew being understanding is the most appropriate response for when someone is helping you. She went up front, then went to speak to the manager who was preparing to bake more bagels, and came back. She said they were too slammed to offer up a refund, that she'd get me 3 chocolate chip instead. At this point, I was starving, disappointed, and I felt insulted. I felt like the manager just didn't want to lose money, and I nearly lost it. I managed to maintain my cool, I didn't want chocolate chip, I don't like chocolate chip. I wanted a blueberry bagel, and they didn't have any. So I wanted my money back to use on something else I did want.
There were several points this whole thing could have been avoided. First when she took my order, blueberry bagels are popular, they run out quickly. Check on the stock. Second, before she took my money, again, blueberry bagels are popular, check the stock. But she took my money, and nearly refused me a refund because of it.
The other time I went there, the food and service were as to be expected. Nothing spectacular, but nothing outrightly wrong like this. If both experiences were like the last, then they would...
Read moreThis was the absolute worst experience I have had through ANY drive through in my life. I’m from Houston, meaning most places are MUCH more crowded. I waited 42 minutes to purchase 2 bagels and a ice water. Once pulling up to the window, my husband asked why it took so long, this girl said in the rudest way, “we’re busy,” and then immediately closed the window on me. After waiting another 5-7 minutes… my husband had to walk inside and ask if the bags that were buy the drive through window was ours and she again was so rude. She then took another 3 minutes to even give us our food. Once she gave us our food, I simply asked for her name.. she gave me my bag and literally shut the window in my face and did not respond to me at all. My husband then walked into the store again the girl working the front cashier her name and her name is AMANDA. (Unless that was a lie). She was the absolute rudest person I’ve ever experienced in costumer service. She should be fired and I will NEVER be going back to this location again which is super unfortunate considering I work 5 minutes away. This employee does not represent the business well and is the face of YOUR company. That’s not a good look and by the other MANY reviews… changes need to be had.
And side note: this is the first review I’ve ever felt I had to make. That should tell you something. DISGUSTING and completely DISRESPECTFUL! A simple, “I’m so sorry, we seem to be a little busy this morning,” would have totally changed this entire experience.
Also, I wanted to rate this store ZERO stars...
Read moreBought our home early last year. At first we experienced the most kind woman. She was kind, able to express delays and was a pleasant experience (especially because 2020 was difficult). Then, a younger male was also a pleasant interaction. Once again, the service tends to be a tad longer at this location and he always was a welcoming and we enjoyed his interactions very much. The last few times were different and it took much longer but I love Einstein’s and decided to stop there before our drive. However, YESTERDAY was HORRIBLE experience. The young lady who took the order was kind. But once we got to the window; I noticed a staff member was standing there playing with what looked like dough in her hands. Just standing there. After waiting over 30 minutes, almost 40 minutes; I was shocked to see what appeared to be a manager just standing there. When I got my sandwich, most of the meat was on only one side so I parked, went in and asked for the refund. Sure enough, the manager was combative. Yelling that the sandwiches come like that. Yelling so much that I have a video of her behavior. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I am still waiting for my refund because the sandwich was...
