Tandoori Halal — Restaurant in Aurora

Prices are crazy high for their hot bar food. I bought a kabob skewer with 4 little pieces of lamb (maybe 4 ounces) and they wanted $14. To my understanding, they had it priced at $9.99 but that it also kind of expensive for the amount you get. Keep in mind folks, all their prices right now are per skewer or per quantity and not per pound like it was before.

Advice to owner: When you open or take over a new business, you always want to have lower prices starting out to get customers interested and gradually increase prices with demand. You don’t start gouging customers with steep prices because no one will shop at your place.

In response to owner: Sir there was no side. Only 4 little pieces of kebab. And meat prices increasing is not customer’s problem it is owner’s problem. Find ways to reduce cost. That is why you are owner! And stop ripping...

New York Deli Star is absolutely amazing. My wife and I were pleased to find out it's under new management. This is truly a 5 star deli. The food is so good, fresh and tasty and so many choices. The staff is kind, friendly and informative and they really take good care of you. If you are looking for healthy, tasty, and affordable food, this is the place to go. This deli cooks and the food is better than restaurant quality, it's like top notch south/west European cuisine!

Plain and simple I didn't have a pleasant experience, aside from the lady at the register who was so polite and actually good with customers and communication. Maybe if I ever decided to return I'd get a different experience. I try to go to every variety of restaurants and international foods, this one just didn't give a very good vibe. NOTE THAT- The one shawarma place I visited on Iliff/Quebec (king shawarma) was much more welcoming and with smiles all around, given it wasn't my preference of bread but was excellent quality and actually cheaper...
