Food was average, but the service was not and everything was WAY overpriced for the quality and amount of food you get.
I brought my mother and my son one evening to try it out as we had just learned about this place being here, it used to be a frozen yogurt place I think. The two girls working were both on their phones when we came in and it took a minute for them to notice we were there. I will say, they were very nice and smiled quite a bit while we went down the line to assemble our wraps and my sons bowl, but it took FOREVER. If there had been anyone waiting behind us I guarantee they would have left. It took over 10 minutes for them to get our food together (2 wraps and one bowl) when it is a chipotle/subway style place and you just tell them what to add to your wrap or bowl, nothing has to be cooked or prepared fresh. There is no logical reason why they moved so slow. They were also not very knowledgeable about what was in any of their food. My son and I are vegan so our wrap and bowl had tofu and I knew which items were vegan or not as far as toppings until we got to the sauces.. they had no clue which ones had dairy and which did not. Something they really should know, ESPECIALLY because dairy is an allergen. Then one of the girls mentioned that our tofu probably had dairy so it wouldn’t matter if the sauce did.... what??? Tofu NEVER has dairy in it, it’s made from soy beans 😂 Our reasons are ethical and health related but if someone had a serious dairy allergy, that could be a big problem if they don’t know and can’t find that information anywhere. Apparently they don’t know where their allergen info is posted... talk about a safety risk 😬 We ended up both just getting soy sauce to be safe.
As soon as our food was finally made, the younger of the two girls was ringing me up and the bill was almost 60 dollars!! For two wraps and a bowl. Not to mention my bowl was barely half full of food! I looked it over and she was trying to charge me for extra protein on all of the entrees, which none of us had ordered or even asked for, extra toppings (the crunch toppings, which only my mom had) and she had added a cooler drink and side of miso soup to each meal when none of us had either... apparently the miso was supposed to be free with our entrees, and she was charging me for three, and none of us even got the miso! After fixing it, the bill was actually just over $40, but still, way overpriced for the small quantity of food... when we finally sat down the girls IMMEDIATELY got back on their phones and started chatting about their personal lives VERY loudly as we were eating. Then one of them made a phone call to a friend, and completely ignored the new customer that had come in, sitting at one of the tables and talking loudly and left the younger girl to make his food. She was obviously not on a break or anything because after finishing her phonecall, she helped ring him up.
Very very unprofessional.
I will probably never eat here again, despite the bit of food we actually got being pretty tasty, it just was not worth the money and the experience...
Read moreWent with a family of 5, ages 12 to, well.. old enough hahaha! In short: We've had Poke bowl all over Denver, Fort Collins, and Broomfield and this restaurant was a great competitor. We were well satisfied for the next half day after eating!
• The Food 🍲
Ordered the Poke bowls, all must be customized, there are no premade bowls. Easy process, just take one of their little sheets and "fill in the bubbles" next to options you want, and submit it to the staff.
Such fresh proteins, nothing served old. Crisp veggie toppings and generous portions. We had Donkatsu Ramen as well as the Bulgogi Ramen.
Noodles were pleasantly chewy, and the ratio to soup was perfect for us. I saw Bak Choy, Mung Bean, Dried Seaweed leaf, Fish cake, Boiled Egg, and Green Onions in our bowls. There was more I'm forgetting but it balanced crunchy texture with the chewy noodles.
It's hard not to like it.
• Atmosphere
Upbeat, fun atmosphere. Twinkling lights along the wall, somewhat playful. Refreshing sitting in during heat, clean tables.
🍡 Sweet Tip! Milk Teas with Boba are gorgeous, and the right sweetness level for us. The Milk Taiyaki ice cream was so much fun to receive and and enjoy. Never had an iced creamy treat like that before!! Very decorative.
The family gives 5/5 stars, and we hope you enjoy your experience as much...
Read moreMy kiddo and I went looking for a late V day treat after some stuff we had to do. It is now 8:30pm and where we were going to go, said they closed at 9:00. So when we got there, we were excited to enjoy one of our go to places but, they were closed even though, web sayd till 9:00!!!
So, picky kid of mine decided that a Boba will work! So, we remembered this place which is across the parking lot from original plan. We walked in and the lady at the registered says sorry we are closed...its now 8:40 maybe they closed at 8:00. She allowed us to ask some questions and Next thing, we are ordering miso and BOBA. Then I go to pay and she says....you don't have cash do you, I already closed out and can only take cash. no I do not, I said i could run and grab some cash really quick, she said not to worry and she reopen the register to accommodate me and my situation! She even hooked up a little treat that they make there. I forgot what it was called but it was good!! Im assuming this lady was the owner, either way if she was or if she wasn't, she was super awesome for letting us come in and order even though she was closed and probably ready to go I appreciate that very much (plus it was cold outside).
That is what good service looks like! we will be going back and their raspberry Boba and miso soup was...
