🚨MUST TRY INDIAN FOOD🚨 Follow us for more! We just found a hidden gem for Indian food in Austin that y’all need to know about! If you haven’t been to Biryani & Co in North Austin then add it to your list. They have an awesome lunch special that is every Monday-Friday from 11am-2pm with a purchase of an entree get access to a FREE appetizer bar that includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Some of our favorite dishes on the menu included the Chicken Lollipops, Chicken 65, Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken and The Goat Chops. The Biryani was also good and it is their best seller. All of the food is cooked with so much flavor and we truly enjoyed everything we tried! This is not buffet style and everything is made to order which we could tell by the quality of each dish. Pro tip is to use the naan with the butter chicken and veggies to make a little mini wrap for yourself😋 Make sure to also get a mango lassi and the apricot delight for dessert🤝🏾 Go give them some love for lunch this week and thank us later! #austinfoodheads . . . . . . #austinfoodie #austinfood #keepaustineatin #indianfood #indiancuisine #butterchicken #garlicnaan #curry #chickenbiryani #goodeats #goodfood #bestfoodaustin #atxlove #atxeats #eeeeeats #yummyfood #austintexas #austintexasthings

I felt like I was walking into a Tardis space because the restaurant felt so big compared to the deceptively small storefront outside. I says to myself, "Wow, check out the Indian in this cupboard." The place had a clean and kinda classy look to it. Even the bathrooms were in pretty good shape. Upon my entry into the loo I says to myself, "Good God, what a spacious commode!" Now, I didn't care for the soap, really, but upon drying my hands I did find the trash can to my liking. Returning to the booth where sat my dear companion, I found the menu to be big and beyond my own comprehension as an Indian food novice, so I told my dear companion to pick the dishes we would share as is our custom. MDC is foodwise beyond her ears, so naturally I didn't doubt her, not one bit. We ordered Paneer Biryani and Chicken Tandoori with a side of Garlic Naan. The waitress brought us a jug of water for the table, something I personally adore in a restaurant (see WATERPIC). The service was very good here overall, our servers both being friendly and helpful and such. Of course, good service don't go so far if the food ain't good, but lemme tell you this: Biryani & Associates definitely do good food. I have not consumed much Indian food in my lifetime, but that which I had here at the Biryani Trading Co. was without a doubt the very best as yet. The little complimentary dish of Indian chips and salsa (chutney) was a most welcome and delicious surprise (see CHIPPIC). Before too much longer that Tandoori Chicken came out, sizzling on a hot plate with some veggies and a lime wedge, accompanied by several wonderful, colorful sauces (see TANDOORIPIC). I could see (and smell) right away that I was in for a real treat, something I quickly confirmed upon digging in with my fingers and my face-hole. When I was dug in up to my beard in fine spice and chicken bone, the Biryani appeared, a large bowl of beautiful, colorful rice with paneer and a sauce or two to select for each and every bite. Words cannot express how gorgeous this Biryani is, so it is truly a tragedy that I didn't get a picture of that dish, but in times of hunger it's just not always feasible—and I daresay it's downright disrespectful—to dilly-dally with some stupid cameraphone when such exquisitely delicious food is placed before you and your salivating companion. No matter, I will do my best to snap a BIRYANIPIC next time I go to Biryani Co. And I do intend to go again. And obviously I recommend you to go to there, too. This is one Indian in the cupboard you cannot afford to miss. Postscript: I wrote the preceding review in the afternoon some weeks after our fine dining experience. That same day, just hours later, before I had posted the review or even mentioned it to my dear companion, she just so happened to say she wanted Indian food, specifically from "that place we went last time." Such a coincidence could not be neglected, so we returned to Biryani Corp post haste. Suffice it to say, we had another great meal—not quite as great as the first one (because I ordered this time instead of my dear foodwise companion), but good nonetheless! And thank God for my photog companion who reminded me to get the BIRYANIPIC this time (see BIRYANIPIC).

In this covid mess, food is the only thing keeping me sane. I have ordered stuff from this place previously too but this time, it needs to be mentioned. Try their Chicken 65- delectable, juicy, full of flavour and authentic. Chicken lollipop- crisp, comes with a sauce which can accompany momos too. It was good for a start. Chicken tandoori masala- tandoori chicken pieces in a SWEET gravy. It almost matches butter chicken gravy. I am not a big fan of sweet curries so won’t recommend. Sweet corn soup- they took the word sweet too literally. It had all the veggies, was too sweet, lacked any salt or pepper. Had to make it flavourful by adding condiments by myself at home. Forgot to click 🙈 They are only taking online orders and no entries without a mask.

This is one of the best Indian food restaurant you can find in-and-around Austin!! You simply cannot go wrong with this place. Pick any dish and you will leave happy and satisfied!!

This has been our go-to place for a last few years!! And they still amaze us with the food quality and consistency! We love ordering from them whenever we feel like having some good Indian food for a family dinner or dinner with friends!!

In addition to that, we have been using their catering services consistently for last few years for all our community events!! And each time they surpassed our expectations!!

In fact, just this last Saturday we had a large event where we catered food from them!! And everyone in the event loved the food!! We ordered Gobi Manchurian and Chicken 65 for starters!! And for the main course we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Kadai Paneer, Dal Tadka, Chicken Briyani, Veg Pulao, Naan and sweets!! And everything was simply delicious.

Let me break it down for everyone's benefit -

Service: Excellent!! The food was ready right on the time they promised. And everything was hot and neatly packed. When we reach to pickup, there was no wait time!! We loved it!!

Food: Excellent!! Food was very fresh!! And most importantly the taste was very consistent and delicious. Also there was generous amount of chicken and paneer pieces. Their Chicken Tikka Masala is a must-try. It is simply amazing! I think it is their signature dish!! And as for the Biryani, one of the best again in Austin. I have tried Biryani at other places too, but none can beat the taste and consistency of this place!!

I highly recommend this place for Indian food!! And if you are looking to cater for any of your events, look no further!! This is THE place!!...

Biryani & Co really does feel like the traditional Indian food restaurants I’ve been to in the past. Welcoming folks, the place is clean and I appreciated the fresh Rose at every single table in the shop.

Our starters were the Homemade Chips and Chutney along with Samosas. The chips were crispy and buttery, if I had a whole bag of them I could down the whole bag. The Samosas were crispy and flavorful, I really liked the fragrant taste of these, these were impressive I wish I had more than 3.

We also had an order of Garlic Naan and that did not disappoint, nice char, great flavor, this was another item I could have ordered more of.

We ordered the Butter Chicken with a white rise side, the flavors were there and this tasty dish really did meet his expectations.

I had the Goat Dum Biryani, it comes with a yogurt sauce and an extra ramekin of sauce you can add, I do suggest adding them to really kick the flavor up! I had the rice and goat without and it was really inline with Biryani I’ve had in the past, the extra sauces really kicked it up to another lever.

We always go for the Mango Lassi at any Indian restaurant, if you’ve never had it it’s always worth getting. Biryani & Co has a really nice Mango Lassi drink, it’s really impressive and flavorful.

All in all, I would definitely recommend Biryani & Co if you’re out in the Austin Great Hills and surrounding area. I think this will be a place we go back to as I actually do want to try...
