This food truck is named Sopa De Fideo—that’s what caught my attention because I love fideo. But surprisingly, there was no fideo option on the menu, other than a complementary portion if you order a particular entrée. So, I ordered three tacos just to get the sopa.
The cashier then told me they were out of sopa and would substitute 2 oz. of beans instead. Two ounces? That’s like a shot of liquor—laughable that they’d even consider that a viable replacement. The beans looked like they came straight out of a can and had zero flavor. They were pale in color and tasted as bland as they looked.
I ordered three tacos: Carnitas, Al Pastor, and Carne Asada. The two pork tacos were dry and flavorless. The Carne Asada taco was decent—not great, but definitely better than the other two. Unfortunately, the salsas didn’t help much either, as they were also bland.
I hope this place steps up its game, because if they keep serving food like this, they won’t be around for long.
My friend ordered a Carnitas Torta and said it was also dry and lacked flavor. He also tried the loaded fries with Carne Asada (not listed on the menu), and said those were fairly decent.
If you’re the type who likes to add your own salt to everything, this might be your spot. Otherwise, you may...
Read moreI've heard of this wonderful food truck from coworkers. I finally had time in the morning to stop by. I ordered to chorizo loaded tacos - chorizo, potato, egg, cheese. On a corn tortilla. I asked if the tortillas are made in house they said no but everything else is including their chorizo.
The tacos - the corn tortilla was slightly crisp but soft enough to not break when folded. The filling was perfectly scrambled together to give me a feeling I was eating at my dad's house again. 🧡 most places put each item separately in the tortilla which makes is feel restaurant because those ingredients are in warmers and the fall out as you take a bite, but not here. Not a single crumb fell out of that taco. The chorizo was so fresh and not oily like most places.
The green salsa is like to me a blended pickled jalapeño blended watery but chuncky - i would say this is mild and very delicious
Red salas is a very liquid blend of chillies with some chili seeds at the bottom- the hotter of the two - my preference is the green over the red but I put both on my taco and did not have any regrets 😋
The service was...
Read moreI absolutely love this food truck and the two amazing ladies that put their heart and souls into what they do best— serving up the best tacos(+much more) in this area by far. All to be enjoyed with great music and ambiance for an outdoor bite. Erica and Martha’s positive and upbeat attitudes and smiles are infectious! You are guaranteed to enjoy yourself and the outstanding menu items that these ladies whip up! You can tell that they truly love what they do by how delicious their food is and how much fun they are while doing it! Sopa de Fideo is admittedly my favorite lunch spot, and such a great establishment for the community. Great for groups and families since they will definitely have something for everyone. I highly recommend the chorizo breakfast tacos, brisket flautas, and of course the beloved sopa de fideo, but it is all amazing and you really can’t go wrong at all. You also have the try the most refreshing flavors of agua fresca to wash it all down. Thanks Erica and Martha- you...
