Title: A Fresh Delight at Poke House Austin I recently had the pleasure of dining at Poke House Austin, and it proved to be an exceptional experience that I am eager to share. Food 5/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The food is nothing short of spectacular. Each bowl is crafted with precision, bursting with flavors that are both refreshing and satisfying. The ingredients are exceptionally fresh, allowing the natural flavors of the fish and vegetables to shine through. Whether you're a fan of traditional poke or enjoy creating your culinary masterpiece with their customizable options, every bite promises a taste of the ocean. The sushi rice is perfectly cooked, and the variety of toppings and sauces add a dynamic twist to each bowl. An absolute must-visit for any poke enthusiast! Service 5/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The service is impeccable. From the moment you enter, the staff greets you with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm. They are attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that your dining experience is seamless from start to finish. The team is knowledgeable about the menu and is always willing to offer recommendations if you're feeling indecisive. Each visit feels personalized, making you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. Atmosphere 4/5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The atmosphere is inviting and casual, making it perfect for a relaxed meal. The décor is simple yet modern, with bright and airy elements that complement the freshness of the food.

I've been to Poke Fit in Leander, Poke and Bowl in Cedar Park, and Poke House in north Austin, and Poke House is my favorite. They're just a bit more value for your dollar, the environment is cool and has plenty of seating, and they've got a menu full of great options (while interesting looking, I've yet to try the hot Cheetos on anything). Be sure to ask for a punch card, because you will want to come back. Be careful around lunchtime, because it gets crazy busy. If you know you want this, order ahead online and just pick it up when you arrive. Update: I had a punch card I was about to fill and get a free poke bowl, but they switched their rewards system so now it's just a bowl of soup. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty annoyed.

I got a regular poke rice bowl with white rice, cubed salmon, pineapple, corn, scallion, edamame, cucumber, seaweed salad, cilantro, sesame seeds, crushed hot Cheetos, spicy house sauce, and sweet ginger sauce. The bowl was huge. I had enough to eat it for lunch and for dinner. You definitely get what you pay for, but I wish they had a smaller size. Raw fish is best when it’s really fresh, so this is not the type of food you want to have leftovers of. Overall I enjoyed the bowl and thought the fish tasted fresh. Next time I come I will probably try out their different sauces and toppings, but I do recommend the crushed hot Cheetos. It sounds like a strange topping, but I enjoyed the spice and crunch it added to the bowl.

I had been a big fan of this place - I was initially a bit elitist about poke in Austin, but this place gets the ingredients and the pricing right for poke in Texas. I made several return trips with my gf and they still held up solid, food-wise.

However, I visited this past weekend and had a very sour experience that has me questioning whether to go back. We walked in, no one was manning the food counter, and 3 employees in the front area were doing other things and casually glanced at us, continuing to do whatever they were doing. We waited for a while before someone walked up...but didn’t say anything. No hello, no greeting whatsoever, he just stood there and stared at us. I asked him if he was ready for us, and he just nodded with a straight face and a look of discontent, again without any words. As we went through our respective orders, he continued with just hand gestures and he appeared to be throwing food onto the bowl, as you could see food flying off the bowl. He seemed to be annoyed and a bit passive aggressive.

At the end, he took our payment, again, not saying anything, and then walked away without a word before I even completed my payment. Not that I expect to be thanked upon payment by a restaurant, but coming from that kind of background, it’s one of the basic givens of food service. Needless to say, we were shocked considering the pleasant, welcoming experiences we had had previously.

We chose to eat outside because there was an air of unwelcome inside (no other customers were inside) not only from the food prepper, but the other employees as well. We still liked the food, but it didn’t taste as good given the sour experience we had. I can’t say I’m going to be rushing to come back next time...

I have been coming here for about a year. I've never had a bad experience until the past few months. I will absolutely not be coming back here or recommending to anyone. I'd rather drive to congress for poke poke than drive 5 minutes to eat here. First of all customer service is absolutely terrible. I've even been in contact with the owners who made it seem like my issue of missing items and fish quality was my problem. Their way of making it right is replacing half of what I paid for and not apologizing or fixing the issue. If you get an order, it's not that hard to pay attention to every topping and add in someone pays for. I've never experienced such incompetence before at a poke resturant before. When I call them on the phone they always sound like I'm bothering them and the don't want to talk at all. Fish quality in the past few months is disgusting. All the tuna is chewy with no flavor, the cuts are not uniform. One peice will be the size of a penny and the next will be the size of a Lego. I literally did not finish my food this time because all the tuna was tough and just tasted like water. I would not recommend eating here and I would highly recommend the owners take responsibility for their flaws and actually be proactive in solving the issues at hand instead of thinking they are perfect, their shop is perfect and their employees are perfect. Because they are not and it is not at all. Will not...
