JUST saw this new food truck at Mary and South Lamar (right by the urban motorsports shop, on the right if heading south). It's about a mile south from the river/downtown.
Cambodian options are extremely limited in this town so I was thrilled and I immediately made an order and was not disappointed!
First I will say that the food here is extremely tidy. Perfectly formed and "neat" presentation. I ordered the eggrolls which were perfectly formed thumb sized crunchy Yummies.
I got the Nom Pahng pate sandwich which is one of two "banh mi adjacent" sandwiches they offer. It was fresh and the tasty and the baguette was perfect, which is a real feat considering it is pissing rain right now.
I also got the weeping tiger steak which is nice chunks of steak and a great dipping sauce. It's the most simple of the dishes I ordered but tasty and solid.
I look forward to trying out the rest of the menu and bringing my friends!
They don't yet have online ordering but I was able to call them and put my order in ahead so I didn't have to wait for my takeout order. They have "outdoor seating" under an awning of the plant store that shares the parking lot and advertise "indoor seating" but I did not wait around in the rain enough to...

From the moment I walked up, the service was outstanding. The owners are incredibly kind and greeted me with such warmth. As someone newer to Cambodian cuisine, they patiently offered their suggestions, making me feel welcome and excited!
The food is incredibly flavorful, though it can be on the spicier side. Each dish I tried was a vibrant and complex showcase of Cambodian food staples, clearly made with passion and care.
The location itself is very central, offering both comfortable outdoor and indoor seating options. Parking is a little tough and there is a lot of ambient noise from Lamar, but still worth it! It's situated right next to Frond Flower shop, and I saw that a Desnudo coffee truck is soon to open nearby, making this little corner a great destination for food and vibes.
I would highly recommend Blue Aspara to anyone—whether you’re a lifelong fan of Southeast Asian food or just looking to try something...
Read moreI’m a Cambodian American, meaning my parents escaped the Cambodian genocide, and I was born in the States. Growing up, I remember family dinners and large family/friends gatherings with delicious assortments of Cambodian food. I’ve moved away from most of my family and always miss Cambodian home cooking.
Kim, the Khmer owner, is very kind and courteous. I enjoyed the curry, which brings nostalgic memories of my childhood. We had the sandwich, which was my wife’s favorite. The fried egg rolls were delicious, crispy, and meaty. Beef sticks with sticky rice were tasty with a hint of lemon grass seasoning on the beef, which I’ve missed eating since I was young.
I recommend trying it out if you haven’t had Cambodian food before. My wife and I will definitely be going back. Extremely grateful for Kim creating such a delicious menu 🙏 and reminding me of my...
