Cabo bobs has really gone downhill. I ate here a bit about 2 years ago and hadn't gone back since today. I remembered how good and decadent the food was so I talked it up to my partner and we went for dinner. The quality has gone downhill. The service was fine and the atmosphere is what you'd expect for a fast casual restaurant but what's really sad is the food.
I ordered a chicken burrito with guacamole, two kinds of salsa, onions, sour cream, cheese. There was no guacamole on it even though I paid extra and no cheese. All the sourcream was in a glob at the bottom of the burrito but they pretty much just stuffed the burrito with the cheap ingredients (rice and beans). There was no salsa on it either even though I requested two kinds. The chicken had several bones in it and I kept having to spit out my bites due to this.
The queso was the other sad part of the night. The queso used to be so thick and cheesy. This queso was watery as heck and tasted pretty much like salty milk. They also only filled half the container.
It's clear to me cabo bobs is trying to make more money and spend less between the watered down queso, overloading of rice and skimping of toppings, bad quality meat and small portion of queso.
My partner ordered double steak. The steak was incredibly tough and it was the same amount as the normal serving of chicken in my burrito. Again, they're Cleary trying to give you less and have you pay more.
Save your money and go to chipotle instead. What a disappointment overall. This is not cheap food so why is the quality so...
Read moreFirst visit to Cabo Bob's Burritos on Anderson Lane for lunch. Although I have heard good things about this place, every time I drive by? It's always so crowded so I just go somewhere else. So I decided, even though I was tight on time, to stop anyways and see what happens. If it's too packed I will just leave. The parking lot is very misleading, finally found a parking spot, the lot was full. I walk in and there might have been 8 guests in the entire restaurant. Like I said, first visit so stood back and read the menu, knew what I thought I might get so just winged it. I got a bowl and just told them what I wanted in it. I had a lot of different items in it but my protein was chicken. They also have other proteins to chose from. I must say it was quite tasty! There is plexiglass between you and the employees, they were all wearing masks and gloves. The items to chose from at each station are on the glass. I must say it was quite challenging to hear or even tell the servers what I wanted because of the glass and masks but I made it through. It was a lot of food for the price, I was quite surprised at checkout.
I have always been a Freebirds fan and had heard that Cabo Bob's was similar, is one of the reasons I wanted to try it. Cabo Bob's just has different ingredients to chose from, gives it a little different taste.
All in all I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back again in the future. Thanks Cabo Bob's Burritos for making good food to eat and my...
Read moreI was a big fan and a regular at this place up until today. I walked into order one adult burrito and one kids burrito to go. I'd never ordered a kids burrito before, and apparently there's a limit on the number of items that you can choose from each section. I didn't know this. and the people building my burrito made quite a fuss about adding vegetables to a kids chicken burrito. then when I moved over to the cold fixings I asked for cilantro, lettuce, and cheese, and they added cilantro and then proceeded to let me know that was all they could add to it because I had added veggies and wasn't supposed. when I let them know that I was very confused about the kids burrito policy I felt terrible for holding up the line and they wouldn't add my ingedients. I explained to them that i didn't want to pay for something that wasn't made to order so and they proceeded to start throw the burrito away. the customers behind me asked for the burrito and they said it was free and asked if they wanted to add anything else to their (formerly my, formerly, trash, but now free) burrito... what????
I can't support / condone a business that would rather waste food than work with customers.
the manager DID offer to comp the meal and she offered chips and drinks and was very apologetic about it. ... but ... why did this happen in the first place? I really just needed my order and I need to know that restaurants aren't okay with throwing food away and spiting customers just-because. nobody walks in for...
