Ordered from this location and I did not have the greatest of experience. The order on the site stated I should have my food delivered at 3:43pm. I waited until 4:20pm before I gave this location a call to inquire where my order is at. I would have understood if they got busy and was running a bit behind, but apparently the order was picked up according to the employee who answered "a while ago" yet it was not delivered. I expressed my concerns about receiving my food cold as it has been in transit for a while. The employee said it should not have and that the lady who is delivering my food was confused but left the store. Eventually I got my food but it was barely cold, was annoyed when she said she could not find the apartment.
I further expressed my annoyance on the phone with another employee that my food was cold, and that why does the website on freebirds ask for my phone number if they are not going to use it to contact me in case of confusion or if they are having a hard time finding my apartment. The employee tone was not rude, however they implied it was a third party and that once it left the store it was out of their hands. The guy mentioned I should have called the driver if I was concerned, but no number was given when I ordered online nor was their any information about a third party being used or clear easy way to find this online.
The mentality I got from the store was that if it leaves their facility then it is not their problem. This is a bad mentality as I am paying money to both them and the third party member and it SHOULD be considered their problem if my order is lost or taking longer. I mean what they had my burrito stored in was just a paper bag and not something well insulated. So food was not able to stay warm long.

It is also just genuinely a pain to have to customize your order each time. It can be nice as an option, but many places like this now have the sense to have a default build you can just point at and order. If I want to go in and order for 5 people, I don't want to have to have 5 full involved conversations about the food. Jersey Mike's is an example done right in this style. You can customize everything, or just order things "mikes way" or have a default off the menu build. I hate being made to be conversationally involved with these unpleasant people when I just don't have the mind for it. It is like this place was created for people to work who do not have the mental capacity to learn the item builds enough to work at Taco Bell. Don't have to train people that way I guess? Also, the way they charge for queso on taco orders is an extreme scam. The same ladle of cheese put on a burrito if poured over 4 tacos cost 4x as much. No other place does that. Read morePart 2 (update) Well, it doesn't seem like Doordash is the issue. Placed a pick-up order through the Freebird website (very user-friendly, btw). This time, my husband picked up the order. There was a girl and a guy working. As she was creating an order, she talked the whole time with the guy about her AP classes, etc., she finished the bowl and asked my husband if it was his. When he said the name, she confirmed it was. Had she been more focused on her job instead of flirting, maybe I would have gotten the corn salsa and pico de gallo I'd added.
Part 1 This place is hit and miss for me. I guess it depends on who's working there. My last order was through Door Dash, which was obviously a mistake because I feel like they give you less since you're not watching them make it, and you can't really fix it. Also, I ordered a steak bowl, but instead, I got some kind of shredded meat product... and very little of that or the rest of the ingredients.
