Tried this pizza not to long ago I read the reviews and was hoping to have my socks blown off but instead I felt like I stepped in water. The pizza is not bad but it seems like those who reviewed don't try to many pizza places I've been all over the US and I have to try every little pizzeria I can been doing this before barstool sports was a thing lol. But to be honest it's good but got could not go anywhere near to say it's the best in Austin or in a certain region of Austin. I would recommend you try it because it is good pizza. I recently tried another place locally called tipsy pizza, they have some amazing pizza rolls and ...i'm confident they'll beat any roll in Austin, the pizza is great as well. One of the things I try to see when I go to places is the type of oven used to cook, if they have a dough machine the sauce. There aren't too many places that have this winning combination to the start of a great pizza but tipsy has it. Again giovanni's is good pizza and if you try it I'm sure it won't disappoint but for someone like who constantly searches for the best pizza I have to highly recommend tipsy, it will take a little longer and cost a little more but it will definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would have given one star, but in the past they were amazing. I haven't had their pizza in about two years and was ecstatic to eat some on a rainy day.
Upon calling, I ordered a large steak pizza add Gorgonzola- wasn't a problem to add onto a especially pizza. After all, I am paying extra for the toppings. then asked for a medium white pizza with shrimp instead of chicken or sausage. The response was "we can't put shrimp on it". I said, "You can't put that topping on instead of chicken and I'll pay for it?" Still no.
Ok, not that big of a deal. Except when we get home, we start eating the steak pizza. I immediately realize an off flavor. I pick a piece of steak off and realize it taste sour and pretty close to rancid. That was a large $17 pizza, ruined.
I am so disappointed with the service and the food....
Ā Ā Ā Read morethis is my favorite thin crust pizza in austin @ this time, it's the only pizza i've had here so far but it's one of the best i've had over the years. i first got to try it when the place was set up outside in the parking lot in a trailer, and you could sit outside on some lawn chairs in the evening! that was nice. anyway the setup inside the gas station is fine, even though it's a gas station, don't let that deter you! this station has a really good selection of hard to find beers, besides the usual domestic beers on a separate isle, and there is also a good selection of wine. getting pizza by the slice is good as the slices are very BIG, the price is good, the owner...
