I arrived at 10:00 so long before the normal rush and they were still pretty busy, one of the few places that was actually open. The sign said wait to be seated, but they told me after I waited a while just to go see it myself as many others it turns out we're doing. I ordered a sandwich and the waiter suggested the french fries. The french fries were medium cold. I'm not a huge fan of french fries at the best of times, and then I only like them when they're piping hot and fresh. I ate one then another, and decided that was pointing. The BLT California was okay. This is a Pepsi shop, so I feel like Pepsi products this is your place. We also have a full bar, but I didn't order an alcoholic beverage but I think they were serving alcohol already. I mustard bottle had dried-on ketchup and other things on it, so I don't think they clean those every night. I probably should have just grabbed a pre-packaged sandwich I think it would have been as good and cost a lot less on the $24 I spent for a sandwich, fries I didn't eat, and a water. The staff were friendly, but busy.

First off all, it’s no longer titled Haymaker, but an Antone’s - but that name is nowhere to find on the map. Live music is nice (kudos to musicians), but everything else is questionable at best (or just terrible really): - 1. Got some warm stale draft Blue Moon (see photo - orange slice was as seen on the picture, I made one sip only to find out how bad it was) - 2. CJ’s sandwich looked worse than what you get in a remote MacDonalds (wasn’t worth taking a photo) - 3. Took a few minutes to get seated after the person in front if me - 4. Took well over 10 minutes to get attention from the waiter, who didn’t even look at me - 5. Instead of opening a check they asked my card right away without explanation, as if it would be normal Basically, feels like a bad deli store trying to pretend being a restaurant. Not worth your time or money, unless they fix things. Kudos to musicians though 🙂

My layover stop in Austin TX was right around lunch time so I decided to eat at Haymakers Sandwiches. Nice local beer selection and a diverse limited menu with a wait to get in - got seated at bar immediately cause it was just me. Had a Patty Melt with Pinthouse Pizza Electric Jellyfish (a hazy ipa). Beer = excellent and burger was shockingly good for a place in an airport. Ashley was quick to help, Beer was cold, foot was hot and tasty. Here’s the breakdown: Cold beer with a good selection +1 star; juicy burger cooked right +1 star; fast and friendly service +1 star; plenty of food options for a limited menu +1 star; good conversation with fellow diners +1 star; ridiculously high price to captive customers -1 star. I’d go again if in the Austin airport.

Christian G. was Awesome! Absolutely, excellent and goes above and beyond to be 1 of the only 2 servers. And, you can tell he’s dedicated to customer service.

Was running late for a flight that I missed and had a really bad mental breakdown for; was super anxious and a sweaty and heavy breathing mess. I sat in line trying to get help feeling light headed for about nearly 10 mins. Finally I went to the bar area and (I like the manager said her was Jennifer) grabbed her attention and asked for a cup of ice water; she seemed annoyed by it and said she’d get one. But, continued making alcoholic drinks for a good 5 minutes; so, finally I caught Christian’s attention; and we is such an angel. So excellent- truly! Literally stopped what he was doing grabbed me some water, and even took a moment to tell me to calm down, and was soo calm and cool about the situation. I really wanted to show him my gratitude and gave him a $10 for the water; wish I had more to give him. Like I told him it’s the little things! Excellent young man; and, when I told his Supervisor Dorris of how great he was I figured out he’s only been there for 1 week. And, it’s his second compliment! Wow! Looking at a future manager.

Awesome job Christian G. I hope he...

Poor service but tons of staff. 4 servers standing around while the bartender runs around. They were out of several menu items. They have a sign that asks you to wait to be seated so I did for a few minutes only to be told to seat myself. While in Austin I ate at another haymaker and it was good, I stayed nearby at an air bnb. I sat at the bar and looked at a soggy beer napkin for 10 minutes until a server came over.

Staff also just told a customer the kitchen closes in 5 minutes, almost an hour before they close...

Edit* new developments lots of customers were rudely and quickly told to leave due to them closing. So the last woman waited minutes to order, her friend waited, when she ordered two drinks the bartender only allowed her to order one... so they waited for nothing.

I didn’t ask for the check but got closed out, I didn’t want anything more but the business is still listed as open for 40 more minutes.

Staff is loudly announcing “GOODBYE” to each other. There’s still a few of us left. Ok just got asked to be closed out, first time was just the receipt.

Longest review ever. The aren’t rude, but pushy. They are talking about how they normally close early. I was bid “safe travels” haven’t left just yet, still...
