My boyfriend and i frequent the Round Rock Location A LOT. My boyfriend actually worked there and blue corn harvest several years before. He has been in the service industry for many years and I myself have been in customer services for 8+ years. I came in 6/17/19 for a birthday dinner with my family, fist I do want to thank the host who took my reservation she was very professional and helpful. I want to thank Lance for being a great server and very accommodating to my party of 14 people. They had set another table aside for me and we did not end up needing it so we gave Lance $10 for accommodating and holding that table for me. I don't know how MINDY ended up taking our order for our food after we had been working with Lance since we sat down, but after she took over everything went down hill. Nobody on my table was extremely needy by any means and we weren't having Mindy or lance going back and forth through out our visit at the establishment. The food was AMAZING the drinks were great as well. But the service we received from Mindy was short of great. She was rude and was very slow to bring one of my guest a Dr. pepper. I get it restaurants get busy and it takes some time to get some things sometimes, but my boyfriend and i went to Blue corn harvest in Cedar park during BRUNCH on FATHER's Day They were extremely packed from wall to wall inside and outside, and some how we received the most amazing service we could have received at a restaurant i waited no more than 5 minutes for a Frozen Margarita and our food took maybe around 20 mins. So it baffles me that Mindy had such slow and rude service, if from what i had seen it was not as busy as i have seen other places. After we had all paid and we were getting ready to leave MINDY came to pick up the checks before we even left the table, open up 2 of them made a face and stated "wow" and slammed the book shut and whispered something to one of the other servers as my sister (whom traveled from San Antonio) watched her do this right in front of her. My sister decided to get up and ask Mindy if we had done something to upset her and Mindy slammed down the books on the counter and said "yeah i just don't think $5 on an $100 tab is not worth it" stating as that our money was not worth having had served us. I'm sorry but no kind of excuse is acceptable to speak to a customer in such manner. If you were not happy with the Tip that was given to you then maybe that should make you reflect and wonder why the Tip was very minimal instead of getting upset at your customer especially to have acted in such manner and made it known to the customer. After my sister told me what had happen i got up because after all it was MY BIRTHDAY DINNER. So i went and found Nick the manager on Duty and he was very apologetic, in the mean time as we are talking to nick Mindy came around the corner and started going back and forth with me saying pretty much saying how it was a lousy Tip and how shes "sorry it offended us" in a very rude sarcastic manner. Nick handled the situation very well and eventually told Mindy to step to the back. I know for a fact i had tipped at least 20%, I'm not too sure what everybody else tipped but if it was anything less than that then it was due to her service. So for her to have done that was not okay. She was not apologetic at all what so ever she was very rude and unprofessional. I see Jack Allen's as a higher than average restaurant so for this establishment to have someone so unprofessional and act in such manner to a customer would be unacceptable in any other establishment. Like i said we frequent the Jack's in Round Rock but I decided to make my reservation at this location to accommodate to my family that lives south, but after this experience with Mindy I am afraid I will NEVER bring my business to this location ever again. My family even told me next time just do it where YOU normally go not somewhere we are going to be treated like our money isn't worth anything there. I hope in the future you all hire...
Read moreWe visited Jack Allen's Kitchen 360 on a Saturday right before the rush of the dinner crowd. Our server, Amber, was very helpful and informative! We loved every one of her recommendations.
To start, the Tito's Sage & Grapefruit cocktail was absolutely amazing. Not too sweet with just the right amount of strength to get to feelin good. They also have a strong selection of whiskey and wine but their cocktails and margaritas are not to be missed.
The food was incredible. We had the house-made pimento cheese (recommended but probably won't be ordering a second time simply because the other apps looked super interesting) The 13 Spiced Chicken Pasta was seriously SPOT. ON. The chicken couldn't have been cooked better in my opinion. The chicken fried sirloin was a great portion and was topped with a green chile gravy. There are no words to describe how great that dang gravy is.
Selling points: the atmosphere was great! Warm tones with wood all around and a great playlist, honestly. The price! With an appetizer, two entrees, two desserts, and seven drinks (including their fabulous Cucumber & Jalepeno margarita) we spent less than what we had expected and it was a GREAT deal. Absolutely worth every penny. Finally, but certainly not to be missed, the DESSERT. We got the blondie cake and the seasonal cobbler. Not only were the portions well beyond what we needed, they were both phenomenal. Not overly rich but perfectly sweetened.
10/10 can't wait to...
Read moreWhen can I go back again? I so ready to go back for more. I highly recommend visiting this location as well as the Round Rock, TX location. Brought friends and family on this visit and we really enjoyed it.
Service: I an excellent waiter at the time of service. They were willing to provide suggestions, help my family and friends with the menu, continue refill drinks without being asked, and presented everything with a smile. Staff was helping each other and during downtime, I noticed staff was helping each other with cleaning and make sure tables were being organized for the next guest. Customer service was definitely being utilized and felt like family while there.
Food: Delicious!! Again, I must say “Delicious!” All items that were served was delicious. I recommend the Rainbow Trout and the Mac-N-Cheese. One of the two best items on the menu with others to follow. In addition, they have specials on their desserts and if I could eat the whole dessert menu I would. I can’t remember what my dessert was called but it was full of deliciousness.
Overall: I truly recommend visiting this location and other areas throughout Austin. My family and friends enjoyed everything about this restaurant and they are ready to go back. They have great service, great food, and great atmosphere. The one thing I would advise, there can be long wait at times but sometimes it...
