Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Austin

This here Jimmy was conveniently located for us, but not conveniently located enough to where he would deliver right to us. Apparently their delivery radius was two square meters and we was 2.1 away. No matter, we could swing in and grab some 8-inch sammies on the dirt cheap. My dear companion tended towards a turkey sub with oil and vinegar and stuff and things. She's a good sammich-maker, and Jimmy lets you pick all kinds of things to put on your sammie, some of them for no extra charge. Me myself, I'd get me a roast beef sammich with Jimmy peppers, grilled onions, whole grain mustard, and whatever else I want, and we keep it on the dirt cheap, especially if you already have some chips at the house. Jimmy give you a good price on your sammich, see, but then he go and shaft you on the chippies. We ain't about that life. Get you a big bag of kettle chips at the Heeb for a buck thirty-eight or whatever and you're a dadgum golden goose, silly or not. All in all, though, Jimmy is a good'n. This used to be one of my favorite sandwich shops but when the manager turns his back on you and leaves well so did I. We stopped in to get a few subs on our way out for a road trip and when I asked if they could put pickles on my sub they reminded me they only sold the spears. I, previously had someone just offer to slice and put it on my sub but not today. The person at the counter got their manager so that they could explain their pickle policy- ridiculous! I asked if they had a knife so that I could slice it with because again we were on our way out for a road trip. The manager said no they didn't have one I could use. I'm guessing their is a plastic knife policy too. I own a small Buisness here in Austin and I was pretty shocked at the poor customer service. I always brag about our customer service here in Austin because it is rare that I find such lack of care like I did from the manager at this location. I've ordered from this location for several years when I'm unable to take a lunch break at work. They have gotten consistently slower with their deliveries, but my beach club is always fresh so it's been my go to. However, after today I will NEVER order from here again!!! A co-worker ordered for me and told them it would be paid cash. When the delivery driver got there with my sandwich, which was $10.28, she handed him a $20, the delivery driver gave her $7.00 and then left stating that's all he had. I always tip my driver, even with their $2.75 delivery fee, but I will decide how much they should get not be forced into anything! And if someone tells you they're paying cash then you should have change with you. When I got out of surgery and called them, they played stupid on the phone.
