Las Lomas Tex-Mex Cantina — Restaurant in Austin

So we went to eat at Las Lomas Restaurant. 🤦‍♀️ SMH It's was 4 Groups seated together. Separate bills. Each one of our bills were OVERCHARGED! The reason they gave is because we paid with a card, so we don't get the discount. I asked them to show me where on the menu does it say the prices on the Menu will increase if we pay with a card!?? I also asked why they don't have an ATM if that's the only way we will be charged what's on the menu. My problem is....the bill came with the increased cost!? How did they know we would pay with the card? She said we would receive a discount if we paid cash!?? How is that!?? It doesn't make sense and I've told her it was BAD BUSINESS to show one price on the Menu and CHARGE a different price on the bill. I didn't catch it until my daughter told me to check my receipt. I didn't think anything of it, but when I checked. I noticed it was actually More than $1.00 on each item! Smh. I didn't get mad, but correction must be made. If you're going to use a different price for using a Card. Change your menu, provide and ATM if you prefer cash or at least warn your customers that the prices vary depending on how you will...

Ate here last night for the first time and absolutely loved every aspect of it so I returned this afternoon. I was immediately presented an entirely different experience. When I informed the server we would like to sit outside she asked if we were going to eat anything. I informed her we would probably just do margaritas with chips and salsa, to which she replied that they would only serve us chips and salsa if we purchased queso.. never heard that anywhere before ever especially if we aren't drinking.. it's ok because we would be getting queso anyways already. As soon as we ordered she closed us out refusing to check in us another time to replenish our drinks,chips or salsa. When we were forced to order the bar we asked for more chips and salsa only to wait 15 minutes to be brought one basket of chips to split between 6 people and given attitude about it. Will not dine here next time if this server is working. We tipped our server 20 on. $50 tab last night and tonight left no tip because we had no server to even tip. Will be back to give another chance to make up for this...

My coworker just recently booked the restaurant for a private event for 50 people, however upon arriving they had booked another event at the same time. The inside is very small and barely accommodates 50 people on the restaurant side. The other half is the bar side. The whole place was packed and seemed to be understaffed for the amount of people there. It was probably way over the capacity limit for the restaurant. His party was booked since September and the other party was booked a few weeks prior to the day of the event per the waitress. As far as service, our cups were always empty, however the food was really good and nice and hot! The salsa was also very flavorful!

My advice to be more efficient is to not double book large events especially with very limited indoor seating. The outdoor temp that evening was about 40 so the outside seating was not an option for...
