It's around 7 o'clock on a Monday night. We're both dead from rough work days, and we say hey, let's order something. Fried chicken, we never have fried chicken! Let's order from Golden Chick! I order directly from the Golden Chick website -- didn't use a third party app and decided to order from my PC because I don't like their mobile site. Estimated delivery time 55 minutes. 30 minutes later I get a call from a DoorDash driver. "They're saying I need to pay for your order -- did you already pay?" Uh, yeah, I paid on their own website... 20 more minutes pass, it's quarter to 8 o'clock now and they cancel my order without explanation.
I call the store, they don't answer, leave a voicemail. I call the driver and she says, "Yeah I showed up and they were like 'We are contracted with GrubHub, not DoorDash' so they wouldn't give me the order. I tried to talk to our customer service department with them for 20 minutes and they wouldn't budge so we had to cancel". Yeah, okay, but I ordered it ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE, so why and how was DoorDash, who they don't contract with, even contacted in the first place?
Store refuses to answer the phone over the next few days so I call my credit union and dispute the charges (because Golden Chick canceled the order and didn't refund the money). When I explain what happened, my credit union immediately issued the funds.

Not really sure how this place is still open.
I have shown up 2 times now in the past 2 weeks 30 minutes after they open for them to tell me they have nothing ready because they got a late start. Staffing shortage or lazy employees?
They take longer than whataburger to get food to you. Every time I pull up I hear employees using foul language talking bad about other colleagues and the business while sitting at the drive thru window. They were not able to break $100 bill which was all I had as I showed the lady the inside of my wallet. They didn’t want to give me the food so I gave my money to another company who was willing to accept it.
Went through one time and was told they don’t do individual tender pieces and the next week I showed up I was able to order individual pieces.
This place has great food but that is about it. Is it worth the 10-15min wait(that is if no one is ahead of you) I’m not really sure. The customer service is below sub-par and the service is extremely inconsistent. Not only this but the place looks decrepit and rundown as if it’s a money laundering ring that doesn’t want to upgrade...
Read moreI was in Golden Chick minding my own business attending to an email on my phone. When the manager comes from behind the desk and accuses me of video recording and employee. I immediately turned my phone on and immediately showed him that I was in a document scrolling up. He insisted that I was a video recording the young lady who was taking my order when she walked away.. totally embarrassed me and the restaurant. I'm leaving me on a black guy in the restaurant just hit different. Because it was definitely trying to be some type of Captain Save A person once I pulled up my recent applications on my phone to show him that there was no way that my camera was even up. I still did not receive an apology the patron behind me who had been standing behind me in line witnessed the whole thing he said so this man wasn't recording a video we're taking pictures but trying to be best protective protector to a woman who would never date him should not get in my expense. So I will say to you personally I will not be going back there but if you are in the store and this particular waitress is working make sure that your phone is left in the car for YouToo will be embarrassed....
