Las Mangonadas #3 — Restaurant in Austin

Update: The elote is amazing - the small is 12 oz and it’s huge, very filling, it’s almost like a meal. I prefer the yellow corn one because it’s a little softer and tastes better to me tbh. Everything I’ve tried is amazing, which by this point is a lot. This is hands down the best snack place with both savory and sweet choices (I can’t help but get both when I’m in the mood for savory). The gansito ice cream is almost as good as the one I get back in my hometown of Brownsville that I tried first. The Ferraro Rocher ice cream is also really good. Their ice cream is so creamy, like if it were gelato. Definitely some of the best ice cream you can get in Austin. The Oreo paleta is amazing, and I just tried the pistachio paleta and it was super good too. I love the paleta in the high heat of day because they take longer to melt than regular ice cream, although they’re more dangerous since there’s no cup to catch the drops!

I got the chocolate and nut covered strawberry paleta and it was really delicious. Customer service was excellent. They let you try different ice cream flavors. My partner got the mangonada and it was really good too. Definitely coming back here to satisfy my sweet tooth. I can’t wait to...

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!, and bland tasting ice-cream. After standing in front of the register as directed by one of the staff members the owner came over after about 3 minutes (no big deal) But instead of ringing up my order she started ringing up a different customer who literally just walked up behind me!! I said I was in line that's why I standing in front of your register and the owner completely ignored me and continued to take the other customers money. She then rang me up after the other customer walked away. I was so confused why she did that...needless to say I will...

Cool spot for good ice cream, fruit cups, elote and other interesting snacks. Never had the snacks with cueritos (cured pig skin) but I had to try it at least once to post this plus it's packed with collagen. If you'd of told me this was a calamari salad inspired by the shores of the Yucatan peninsula or Pertō Vayartta I'd of believed you. I'll bring my spicy cocktail sauce next time.....y una Corona 😋.
