My niece & I walked in & looked over at lady @ register… who was looking down @ her phone not busy at all…. She did not address us so we walked over & sat down, no one came to freed us or give us menus for at least 15 minutes …. Place was empty & not busy at all.
I had to get up & ask if she was planning to take our order, grabbed 2 menus & told her she would need to bring over 1 more… so she could at least do something.
when she finally came over she did not apologize it was more of attitude
I still left tip but not a very good one. As it was a reflection of the service we received
Oh & the food… not good at all. Refried Beans looked to be from a van & had no taste.
We ordered a parillia & not what I expected was full of tiny pieces of … chicken & ground beef even though we had ordered a combination with shrimp, beef & chicken but guess they do that to make it look like a lot of food.
My brother & I who shared dish for SICK 🤢
Do not recommend this place at all, & I’m not from Austin was visiting & passing by so it was the closest restaurant to me on my way back out...
Read moreMi Linda Jalisco offers a reliably satisfying taste of Jalisco, though with some predictable elements. Let's start with the positives: their queso, while undoubtedly simple to prepare, hits all the right notes. Creamy, cheesy, and flavorful, it's an easy appetizer to enjoy. Similarly, the beans served here are commendable, possessing a rich, earthy taste that complements the other dishes well. However, the rice unfortunately falls short. It tastes distinctly like a basic Goya packet variety, lacking the nuanced flavors that could elevate the meal. As for the entrees, they deliver exactly what one expects from standard Jalisco-style cooking. The dishes are consistently prepared and offer a comforting familiarity, though perhaps without much in the way of surprise or innovation. Overall, Mi Linda Jalisco presents a dependable option for a straightforward Mexican meal. The excellent queso and flavorful beans are definite highlights. If you're seeking familiar and consistently good Jalisco fare without any frills, this restaurant fits the bill. Just don't expect any...
Read moreCame from out of town picked this spot cause this was the only Mexican spot near here. Food is so so but we were overcharged. Ordered Jalisco enchiladas and did not know they were made with flour tortillas-no where on the menu does it say. We sent them back and I got flautas. Not once was i told they wouldn’t remove the plate. Brother in law paid the bill but didn’t notice they didn’t remove the enchiladas and charged our drinks twice. They left before us and we asked the waitress at the front if they had removed they said yes. It was still a bit much so we asked for the receipt well they didn’t remove them. When asked this they stated they couldn’t give us the money because my brother in law had paid then they said that they couldn’t refund it because they weren’t allowed to remove plates sent back to the kitchen. Overall bad customer service and didn’t even enjoy the food to a whole because this whole ordeal left us with...
