Fleet Coffee — Restaurant in Austin

I think this place is cute. There is only outdoor seating. I’ve had other good experiences here, however here’s my negative experience that makes me not want to come back.

The specialty drink I ordered was missing cold foam. I brought this up to two different staff and the barista told me they had run out and the staff taking orders told me that they didn’t know there was no more cold foam. It may have just been a busy day but the communication between the front staff and the staff making the drinks is either inefficient or nonexistent.

The drink I ordered did not come out as I expected and it wasn’t communicated to me before I ordered that I wouldn’t be getting the drink as detailed on the menu. A specialty drink costs around $7.50 and a flavored latte would have probably been about $5, which is what I received instead. 1/5 stars for service because after I brought the miscommunication/mistake up to two different staff, no attempt of rectifying the situation was made. Awesome coffee shop that is newly opened, large open seating area on the lower deck, on the top deck there's fans blowing cool air and the coffee shop is adjacent to a taco shop of you are looking for food/frescas.

Parking is in the back, up the hill, and there's not a lot of spots. There's also some street parking available, but it's overall pretty limited.

We ordered two iced lattes, one with Butterscotch and the other with Juniper Vanilla. Both of them tasted amazing, and the total for 2 small coffees was $14, so definitely not cheap. I'd highly recommend...

I ordered an oat milk latte. During checkout they asked if I wanted sweetener and I said sure I’ll have some syrup added. The total came to 8 dollars for a small 12 oz latte. I checked my receipt later and it’s an extra dollar for oat milk and an extra dollar for a splash of simple syrup. The milk I sort of get but don’t ask me at the counter for additional sweetener if you don’t clarify it’s extra, esp if a splash of sweetener increases cost by almost 20%.
