Update! I got a call from the owner. He was very sweet and the manager that called me back that night does feel awful. I get it. We all have bad days and sometimes that can lead to a bad choice. This matter was taken very seriously by the owner and staff. Im giving back 3 stars. It would be a lil silly to give a 5 star after all of that. But I am so happy that the owner cared enough to call me personally. Faith in the amazing Maudies family restored! Original post: I will never order or eat at this location again. A born Austinite, I have been eating at Maudies since I was a kid. I live in Westlake and often order Favor. The Milagro location, though far, is the location that Favor will go to. Every time we order Favor, we include a tip to the merchant. Milagro is notorious for leaving things out of my order, even though I tip well. I have the drivers check the order. Today we ordered and the driver did check but did not know that chicken fajita tacos came with 2. He confirmed that they had only given me one. I paid the driver an extra 10 on top of the 10 I had already tipped him to go back. I called and explained what happened and the manager, Veronica, said she would have the tacos ready for him to pick up. 3 minutes later, she called me back and told me she had spoken with the staff and they "confirmed" there were 2 tacos in the order. I asked her if she was calling me a liar and she said she "trusts her employees." And that she was positive based on what they said that I had 2 tacos and not one. Favor orders are not cheap. At all. Living by the lake, it takes a long time for a runner to get to me. I was floored that she called me back to tell me I was lying about ONE taco. The driver returned and she told him I was lying. I'm sorry. But who would order a driver to pick up food, then pay them more to go back and get the order fixed for ONE free taco?! This is the most outrageous Maudie's experience I have ever had. The Favor support center was not at all surprised that Milagro had gotten an order wrong. It's 50/50 was their response. This is not the way a Maudies manager should behave. Period. I have let so many wrong orders go. Just eating what they gave me. Even though I actually tip them through Favor. This woman was so rude to me. I never thought I would write a bad Maudies review. But here it is. A rude manager accusing me of sending a driver back for one free taco. Really? I still tipped him $20. And did not have him bring me the taco. Worried she had done something to it. How horrible. I will never order from Milagro again. And I know this is not the standard of Maudies. A very humiliating and...

No Attention to Details!

Overall bad experience, so I’m done with this Maudie’s. Taking my business to Fresa’s across the highway from here on out where the margs, food, service and sunsets are better.

Strike one! Waitress asks my guest if ready to order. My guest says “I’m not ready.” Waitress turns and leaves our table instead of turning to me and asking me if I’m ready to order. My guest did not reply “We’re not ready.” My guest said “I’m not ready.” Big difference!

Strike two! I ordered the chile relleno with pulled chicken. Menu clearly states PULLED CHICKEN. No option mentioned about chicken fajita. But what do I get inside the relleno? Chicken fajita! Waitress asks my guest and me how is our food. My guest is ok. But I give my reply by asking about the chicken and the waitress says it is supposed to be pulled chicken but that I can opt for chicken fajita if I want. Well… I didn’t want chicken fajita nor was I asked or informed by the waitress about substituting the default menu protein from pulled chicken to chicken fajita. Waitress offered to send it back but I was hungry and not in the mood to wait for them to redo my order.

Strike three! The waitress assisting our waitress sat my plate down in front of me with the stem of the chile relleno facing me, which is the part you cannot eat. That’s improper to serve like that. The stem should be placed opposite of the guest. I’m Latino and the waitresses both Latina. You would think they understand this little detail about serving the chile relleno plate to the guest.

The only saving grace to keep this review from being worse was God presenting a beautiful sunset photo opportunity. I tipped the waitress 20% by the way but it’s the last time...

I have been going to this specific Maudie's for over 9 years. Our friends that were with us have been going there since 2004. It has consistently been 5 star. That is until tonight. We sat outside, there was another table near us that was occupied with drunk, loud and somewhat obnoxious people. Our table of 5 could barely have a conversation because of the volume from the other table. I called the waitress over and asked if she heard what we heard. She did. She said she would not be able to do anything and we asked if the manager on duty would talk to them to dial it down a little. She agreed and went off to talk to the manager. Nothing was done. The manger never went to talk to them or anything. About 20 minutes later we called for the check and to speak to the manager. I could tell when he showed up he was very reluctant. I explained that we are all long term customers and have never had any issues there but tonight was different and he did nothing to dial down this table. I explained that I waited for him to do something rather then me handling it in my own special way. it was clear this manger could care less. Not a good response to very long...

Stopped in on July 4th for lunch. Service was slow in what seems to be the post-Covid staffing norm...oh,well. Our small guacamole appetizer was delicious but a rather modest portion. My wife enjoyed the chips and salsa and guacamole. I had the Fajitas and Greens salad with combination beef and chicken. Delicious! My wife enjoyed the Chalupa entree but wouldn't order it again....she says that the enchiladas are best. Total cost was $34.23 before tip for 2 soft drinks, small guacamole, my salad and her chalupas. Earlier post: My wife and I enjoyed lunch here for a second time out on the deck. We enjoyed the generous guacamole portion, the tasty chips and salsa, and very good quality enchiladas rice and beans. Service was good, prices are reasonable. Our two enchilada combo lunches, large guacamole, and 2 cokes was approximately $32.00 I recommend this place as one of the best I've eaten at in a while when it comes to Tex-Mex!

We are out of town and were recommended from a friend… The food was super bland. How can you go wrong with an enchilada and chicken tacos? The ONLY positive experience was the happy hour margaritas and queso. As two former waiters… The service was terrible. We had to ASK for more drinks and more chips. Our waiter never gave us his name or checked on our food. Do not recommend.
