A friend was in a 2-hour surgery nearby, so I waited at the Triangle location. The pictures are spot on. It's very spacious and well lighted with lots of windows and squeaky clean. If you are used to Starbucks floor plan, this will feel very open and not the slightest crowded inside. There's actually plenty of space for lots more seating if they wished. There's a good amount of tables and chairs available outside. Parking in the Triangle is limited throughout, so it might be challenging at peak times.
The beverage menu is good and coffee focused. A small selection of baked goods is available adjacent to the register/order spot. It's challenging to view the selection before you are at the register. I had a pre-made breakfast taco (from an Austin favorite) that while tasty seemed a little meager for the price. My Cortado (with vanilla) was excellent! It's a standard espresso that I've had many places, but this one was unusually smooth and satisfying. Since I had more time, I ordered a coffee (with vanilla), which was also excellent. My only disappointment was when I asked to top off my coffee, which was still 3/4 full, before going back to the surgical center. I was dismissively directed to go back to the register. I'll give the benefit of the doubt, guessing I didn't express myself clearly enough, and since the barrista neither looked to see how little I actually wanted nor tried to verify the amount, she quickly, and more brusquely than seemed necessary, sent me on my way. Again, it was my only disappointment and an unfortunate end to an otherwise...
Read moreIt’s a real shame I can’t give this place six stars. Around the time of the pandemic starting a friend of mine sent me a bag of merit coffee that I have never tried before it changed the game for me. Merit has now become my new number one Choice for coffee. I usually order bags and send them back on the California but always make it as a poor over. Since I was in town I decided to visit a location and ordered a latte. It was the best latte I’ve ever had in my entire life it was the most beautiful Cup of coffee. The staff was awesome the layout of the store was well done and when I came back the following day to treat a local business staff to coffee the staff was very accommodating for my large order. It’s an absolute shame that merit coffee roasters only has locations in Texas and not in other places throughout the US. Merit Coffee Roasters will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for Producing memorable product coupled with...
Read moreOne of the the things my wife and I liked best about this coffee shop is was how crisp and chiq the interior was. The entire cafe has a great clean look that contrasts the lamp glow den look that you get from other shops. However, this aesthetic doesn't take away from the comfortable feel. You walk up and the baristas greet you with big smiles and are more than happy to talk about their business. Their love of coffee and what they do is evident and encourages you to ask them for what they like best. After some discussion i learned about the coffee company which originated in San Antonio and expanded into Austin. We also got to learn about where their tea comes from (Indiana). By then end my wife and i were sitting comfy with a nice pour over and some iced tea, plus a few stickers. I grabbed a bag of beans to take home (roasted in San Antonio last week) and i can't wait to use them. Over all we had a wonderful experience and will definitely...
