Worst experience at a coffee shop EVER. Walked in at 7:45am, didn't see anyone working there at the counter. Stood in line for 15 minutes with another person wondering where/if anyone worked there. Finally someone came in, and took my order, and I sat down. The barista then turned on the big screen TV in the room I was working in on super high volume for the world cup game. NO ONE ELSE was in my room except myself and I was clearly working- I went up to the barista to ask if he could please turn down the volume/turn off the TV since I'm trying to work. He hesitated and said well I can't really do that since we are a "watch party spot" (keep in mind it is 8am). I said I'm the only one in here and no one is watching it, and he hesitated and reluctantly turned it down (he said that he couldn't just turn it off). 8:45am rolls around, and I still have not received my coffee and I am planning to leave ASAP since this has clearly not been a good experience- I ask the barista can you please make my coffee to go (he is now in a random closet looking for supplies). He turns and looks surprised and says, "Oh, your coffee, sorry!" Goes over to the counter and proceeds to BEGIN making my coffee, I get it 5 minutes later. Walked out immediately, and never plan on returning. Sub-par coffee, HORRIBLE customer service - does not even feel like you're there. Might as well have been invisible. Oh, and did I mention it's literally 60 degrees in there? Why run a coffee shop if you give ZERO f's about your customers? If you are planning to have coffee and try to get some work done (as with most coffee shops) I would NOT...

I rarely write Google reviews, but this was such a disappointing experience and the reviews here are so misleading, that I want to take the time and share my experience. Here is my quick rundown of challenges I encountered with this coffeeshop:

• The front entrance was closed, and it took quite some time to find the entrance in the back.

• The inside was freezing cold, however, I wanted to get some work done and ordered a coffee and some pastries.

• The pastries were not great, and the muffins look very similar to those sold at HEB.

• The coffee … well … it took about 45 minutes until I got it. It seems like the barista forgot about the coffee (at a coffeeshop) and upon realizing, he still took 10 minutes to prepare. I finally got the coffee with a quick “sorry” and that was it.

• Remember that I wanted to get some work done: Not quite possible either, because the TVs were blasting advertisements and it was honestly getting too cold inside to even sit there.

• Coffee itself was okay. Fairly small, high price point.

I won’t come again, and I do NOT...

This has been a new fav spot for my work from home days and coffee hangs with friends. The charm of the old Lustre House combined with the delicious coffee makes this specific location unique.

We have been faithful customers at their Air Stream for almost 3 years… so getting to experience their brick and mortar is super rad.

They roast their own beans and make all of their syrups in house. Their syrups aren’t overly sweet and the Honey Lavender is delicious!

My kids always get hot chocolate and a muffin when we go together! On warm days they play ping pong and corn hole in the back. I also love that they have ample FREE parking. 🙌🏻

If you need a good work spot or a place to have a meeting… or just somewhere to meet your friend for a good cup of coffee… Praxis...
