I grew up right across the street from this park and my kids and my grandkids see this place as home! I hate that the baseball field was paved over to make a parking lot! They could have paved over the defunct railroad tracks for that! Generations of east Austin families have come here to celebrate life and this is probably Austin's best park. Lake views, pool, sloping hills miles of trails, basketball court. Our server was delightful, we were able to snag a booth for first service & had a wonderful experience. Lobster bisque to start as well as a chopped wedge salad. Entrees we’re whitefish, a pound of Alaskan king crab legs which I ate every ounce of.

Read moreFunny thing Mapquest told us were about to see the lake... Big surprised because took us to an end street...infront of a 🏭 or water treatment place... However there's an entrance to the Park that is mostly used by bicycles.... Since we saw 2 bikes going in we follow and walk the trail... Even though our was a great adventure ... I would nite recommend that entrance....go around and find the main one... Park it's great to even...
