During my last visit to Austin we decided it was time for some crispy, crunchy, juicy, fried chicken. We had been to this location a few other times before the dining room was reopened. This was my first visit where we sat down to eat. Both opted for the strip combo baskets. They were just as yummy as they were on our drive thru visits. Fries were fresh and hot, chickens were perfectly crispy and flavorful, coleslaw chopped and creamy as expected. The associates behind the counter were courteous and properly masked. Our order came up quickly as they were not super busy when we ordered. While we were eating there were 2 associates to come out and sanitize the dining room. They both carried the little container of cleanser wipes that looks like a little hazmat container. Cute. The first cleared a table, wiped it down, then the seats, and threw away the towelette. Seems protocol to me. High-five to that guy.
Now find me 3 more people so I can borrow their thumbs to turn down at the second person to "clean". First, they were obviously unhappy about wearing their mask so they did so incorrectly. Second, they had absolutely no business cleaning anything and I sincerely hope they get some constructive retraining on the importance of doing a job correctly. (I never saw a name tag so I can't be specific, but if management wants to cross reference time sheets & schedules, we were there 12:20p 03-06)
Upon choosing the first table to clean (the one directly in front of us) they begrudgingly whipped the towelette from the container and promptly dropped it on the floor. They then picked up said towelette and used the "floor side" to wipe off the table with a few lazy swipes (there were dry spots indicating the entire top had not been cleaned), then moved on to the bench seat. That same towelette was then swiped across the next table and seats, then further used on a table where no one was even sitting. 1 towelette that had started off on the floor used to "clean" no less than 3 seating locations before being thrown away. Not a great example set by that last person. Everyone else, and the food, was disco. I think we'll stick to drive thru for our visits. At least then I won't hafta bear witness to what happens in the dining room.
I would like to leave a better review, but that was just such blatant disregard it could not be ignored. Chicken was way good, though, and was exactly what we...
Read moreEDIT: This is a SAFETY concern! The appropriate response from the manager on duty or the “HiCanes” corporate person that I spoke with on Tuesday evening is “Let me investigate & get back to you.” Even the canned response to original review was apathetic. Westlake is a litigious community so should be dangers should be addressed immediately.
We had to wait for her to pay her bill at the window & be served her food before we received our order. Consequently, our food was cold when we got home.
The parking lot is very dark. It needs to be well lit with cones or plastic barricades to inform drivers of the traffic pattern. Very confusing & not safe for employees nor patrons.
The manager listened respectfully to my concerns but offered no solution. I even called the corporate line. Not impressed. Hence, the negative review is with the hope changes can be made.
I’m not a fan of Chick-fil-a’s politics or policies, but their ordering system excels by comparison! They also are generous in compensating unhappy customers. I spent almost $40.00 for one child & two adults’ meals which also seems higher as compared to other fast food options. Overall, a...
Read moreI decided to wait a day and sleep on it over my experience at this location. I love Raising Cane's and the food but I have never been to one and seen this much incompetence in not only the employees, but the manager as well. I wasn't surprised to see two other 1 Star reviews on the same day and felt the need to add a third on my first Google review ever. The poor cashier at the checkout (looked like her first day) asked her Trainer maybe if they could take my BOGO box combo. She told me no that I had to go online to order a new card because I didn't have mine. Found out while I was eating that if you lose your card you have to pick one up at any Raising Cane's AND they can transfer over your details. The trainer said they could not do that. The manager gave me a new card after my meal when I went back up to show them this. I asked why the "trainer" couldn't do this and if I could just get the offer retroactively. He just said "oh she didn't know and no". Poorest customer service and a very disappointing...
