Ordered a well done burger. I really dislike undercooked hamburgers. I’m not apologetic about that - that’s the way I want it and am not comfortable with undercooked hamburgers. Mine was below pink. See photo. Not the first time it’s happened. In terms of a “quality control” issue I bet they put out a percentage of pink or even red (raw) in the middle burgers that would make the manager cringe. I really wish when “well done” is ordered and stamped on the receipt that they would tell the kitchen to pay attention and not just cook it like any other order, even if they are busy! Especially at a premium price! I do really like their burgers and fries but as someone who doesn’t like undercooked hamburgers I will wait a bit till I want to order again. Unfortunately it was take out so I was home and could not ask for a redo.

Today was my first time to visit a Shake Shack. I’ve heard very good things about their hamburgers and was excited to give it a try. A gentleman working the counter was very helpful guiding me through the kiosk to order a smashburger and an order of fries. After waiting what seemed like an unusually long time, my order was delivered to the table. The burger was small, but very tasty. The bun was very soft and delicious The lettuce was, as the picture shows, tiny and completely wilted I was unable to bite through it, as it slid off the burger in one chewy mess. I enjoyed the fries (warm, not hot) and thought the portion was fair for the $4 charge. Overall, I would like to give it a 3.5 star rating if that was possible.

Had the pleasure of visiting the Shake Shack right after a Toastmasters Club meeting. Our group of 8 got our orders quickly. The cheese fries were a hit! The Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich was full of delightful flavor without the slight heat ruining it. If you are a spicy-wimp like me you'll love this one. I personally loved the fifty/fifty, Lemonade and Organic Tea blend, perfect for these extreme humid summers. Everything else on the menu looked great! The seating was comfortably spaced with both contemporary chairs and tables as well as raised barstool tables and chairs. It is well lit but the natural lighting and open design of the floor really enhance the space. Looking forwards to making this a once a month favorite!

Flavor of the burger was the best part and saved from one star. Also had nice plants in the planters.

I’ve been on a burger kick and trying out places around town; this was my first time here. I usually like to go to a place more than once but I won’t come back. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try it out and make your own conclusion.

I ordered a double cheeseburger with fries and a Dr. Pepper. That’s when the experience went downhill.

Why use gloves if you’re not going to change them? Guy taking my order had dirty gloves and handled cash. He wasn’t the only one with bad glove habits. Yo this is a pandemic, should be 1 star alone from poor sanitation.... but the burger tasted good. This falls back on the managers not managing the situations. Wake up! I worked in food service so this shouldn’t be as alarming as it sounds to the people reading this, but seriously wake up management before it becomes something serious happens. Makes me wonder if they know to wash their hands after the bathroom.

I was annoyed when I looked at receipt and the guy defaulted to a large soda. The reason I wrote the review was because the cup was almost all ice and they didn’t even fill the cup up all the way with soda. Yo take the time to fully fill the $3 fountain soda that cost y’all 15 cents.

There’s just no value in coming back. A double cheeseburger meal at Shake Shake $15.50, the same thing is at In and Out and P. Terries is $8.50. Burger might be smaller but get a second with the...

Disclaimer: I love Shake Shack. It is without a doubt my favorite burger in the world. This location is no different! The food is amazingly fresh, the staff is friendly, the decor is casual but fun. As for value: these are not large burgers. If you're expecting a big burger, get the double. But all of the food is in my opinion, worth the price!

For you Hopdoddy lovers, this is completely different. I hope that like I have, you can find room in your heart for both, but I do want to elaborate a bit. Some people have mentioned they think that the prices are similar, and that Hopdoddy wins upon giving you more burger for your money. I tend to disagree on this point. Getting 2 burgers, 2 shakes, and sharing a cheese fry at Shake Shack usually costs us about $30. The same at Hopdoddy ends up costing us $40 - $50. And the burgers are completely different. We go to Shack Shack for a delicious, classic burger, free of crazy topping concoctions, and an actual chocolate shake made from chocolate ice cream (custard technically, fine.) We go to Hopdoddy for those big crazy burgers (I can usually only eat half), which are fantastic too, but DIFFERENT.

I think the comparisons to In 'N Out, Five Guys, etc are probably more accurate, and those are more a matter of taste. I happen to think Shake Shack has a juicier, tastier burger than those places, but I respect that others disagree.

That is my...

My youngest daughter was celebrating her birthday and wanted to dine at Shake Shack. It was our first visit and I have to say the food was good, we had burgers and their crinkle cut fries.

We were visiting my eldest daughter and her husband and they took us to Shake Shack on Lamar.

The restaurant was excellent and although we did have an unpleasant experience with a racist individual whom shouted vulgarities and other demeaning references in regards to Hispanics, my son-in-law showed his professionalism and civility and reported the individual to the management rather than handle the situation in a different manner.

I want all the patrons whom frequent this Shake Shack location to know that the management at this location is top-notch and responded swiftly and professionally when they addressed the racist individual and kindly refunded his money and asked him to leave.

It's unfortunate that such incidents still occur, but the management at this Shake Shack location give me hope that this was just an isolated incident in this amazing city of Austin.

First and foremost we are all Texans, and above all we are all humans.

Honey always works better than vinegar in any situation.

We should all strive to practice showing acts of kindness even in the ugliest moments.

KUDOS to Shake Shack for making...
