Staying away from now on because they put this sticker on my car window that I still haven’t completely removed all the residue from.
We’ve always parked on the roof and there was nothing telling us not to. If it had been taped off or there was any signs to indicate the top floor was closed, I fully would have respected that.
But instead we got back from our movie to find this sticker placed on our car window threatening to tow us next time. We spoke to the security employees responsible for the sticker and asked why we weren’t informed in some less destructive way, like a sign. Or just a non-sticky note.
They said “That’s why we’re here.” Not super helpful or acceptable.
There’s closer Drafthouses we can go to instead. I won’t be back. Not worth the risk of getting towed for something nobody told...
Read moreThis is a significantly better-than-average shopping center if only because it has the lone Alamo Drafthouse location close to downtown Austin. I also lived in the apartment complex above it for a while, and know its drawbacks.
The large majority of its street-level businesses have failed, and for the most part not due to problems such as COVID. Shake Shack & Medici probably aren’t going anywhere, but OTOH they’re merely branches of popular chains. TLC is a great eatery, and also the only other one that’s remained open (aside from a closure during the pandemic).
If you’re visiting on a weekend night, I’d definitely suggest getting there via rideshare; the guest parking garage usually fills up, and there’s no nearby...
