UPDATED FROM 4 STARS 3/15/24 Prices went up; quality has consistently gone down. Asked for hot glaze, they didn’t have them (9:30 am) got “bold” kolaches both were hard … when I went back they also showed me cheese that you can barely see. I was given two other smaller fresher kolaches. Maybe earlier in the day is better - I’ll likely try another location or check order before leaving. PREVIOUS 4 STAR REVIEW Went in and out for a quick trip, the staff is helpful and friendly.Ask for "hot glaze" when you drop by, they are so soft and fresh... you can't taste the sugar/glaze in your donut. Great for a quick stop or picking up for the team. Will be coming back to this location for sure.

I ordered a ham kolache while ordering donuts for my staff. I was about half way through when I bit into it and experienced a sharp pain that took my by surprise. It was a bone in the ham. I know this can happen, but surely there’s a way to prevent this. It completely cracked and broke a part of my back molar. I can’t really see it well but one my employees described it as being “able to swipe a credit card through it,” and now I’m in pretty intense pain. This isn’t like a “sorry we put tomatoes on your burger” type of mistake; this is going to cost me quite a bit of money to fix.

Lawrence Shipley would roll over in his grave and corporate should be disgusted. After spending $15 on 3 donuts, soda, and a couple kolaches I asked for a water cup for my kids. They required I pay $.50 for tap water and blamed the cost on the plastic cup. They also crammed all our donuts in a tiny paper bag and my sons chocolate sprinkle donut came out looking like photographed (attached). Needless to say he was heartbroken when we got home (after having to leave to get the necessary water). My parents and I all grew up on Shipleys in Houston but won’t be coming back here.

I Was Really Happy To Show My Daughter (24 Years Old) This Location. So I Brought Her And Her 2 Babies Here. Once We Arrived We Waited In Line (Which Was Long But Expected). As We Waited In Line We Noticed A White Male, Bald Approaching Cars With A Notepad. He Came To Ours I Let My Daughter Order. As She Ordered My Order She Asked My Grandkids What They Wanted. She Noticed This Man Was Being Impatient So She Didn't Order For Herself. Once We Got To The Window He Was Walking Inside The Shipleys Location. He Then Proceeded To Tell The Cashier Our Order. The Cashier Continued To Charge Us. I Put The Back Window Down For My Daughter To Get The Opportunity To Add On Her Order. She Asked For A Medium Hot Chocolate. When The White Man (Brandon) Approached The Window And Said "We Gave You A Hot Chocolate Already". I Replied With "Yes, But My Daughter Didn't Order Because You Were Rushing Her". He Then Said "That's Why I Always Prefer For The Adults To Order". We Obviously Took Offense To This Because The One Who Ordered Was My Daughter !! Then I Proceeded To Go Inside For The Receipt They Failed To Give Me. Which I Then Argued With Brandon "The Manager" Because He Was Talking About How He Was Frustrated Because How My Daughter Was Ordering. If You're Going To Be A Manager That Means You Take On The Role Of A Manager. He Didn't Fit The Manager Role. Over All Bad Experience. My Daughter Did Appreciate The Cashier Though Because He Apologized For The Long Wait And Tha "Comment" The Manager...

My family and I moved to Austin not too long ago and one of the first places we felt at home and welcomed was this Shipley's location. My 4 year old chatty, curly haired son formed a bond with Mia (I believe this is her name) immediately. Because of this, Shipley's is forever our donut place. The food is always great, the seating area is always clean and I always know that were going to get treated with a smile. I cannot thank this place enough for all their kindness to my family. My son literally calls Mia "his friend" and at home, he will take small amazon boxes we have discarded and will play Shipley's, going through the motions of getting everyone their pretend donuts and coffee. Mia always goes out of her way to make my son feel special and it absolutely shows. Any time we wake up on the weekend and I say "Do you guys want to get breakfast?" he runs and gets his shoes and says "Yeah, lets go! I wanna see my friend!" even if that's not where we are going. As a parent, I can't say how good it makes me feel to see someone have an impact like that on my child. Good vibes all around! Thank you so much for all you do and all of the times you've made our boys day. Hope we see...

I need to complain about the service at this location, the cashier’s attitude wasn’t friendly at all, It was 12:40 when we arrived today, when we were ready to sit and enjoy our breakfast, she told use the lobby was closed because she was cleaning, at 12:45, when the door sign says you closed at 2:00 pm, there were no signs of closing early or anything. She didn’t apologize or said it in a nice way, basically she kicked us out, we ended up having breakfast at the car, this is unacceptable!!!! My and my family were excited to have a Shipleys in our area, we were excited to come today and enjoy a nice meal. I regret coming here, I’d rather eat across the street where I’d been treated as a valuable customer and not as a...
