I used to come here a few times a week. Today, they messed up my order and gave us something we didn’t even ask for. While that’s not a big deal, they counted it against me in the end. They remade it, but undercooked. I showed the waitress and she understood but said she needed to seek manager approval. they got the manager Daniella involved. Daniela approached us angrily to begin with. Charging up to the table with the plate in a hostile manner. She was very rude, told us she was going to charge us in any case. She also would not remake it due to they had already made two orders. We explained the first order was totally wrong and not what we asked for to begin with and the second attempt was clearly undercooked. She did not care, and clearly expressed that in a not so subtle way. The only option she gave us was to put it in a to go box or throw it away but she was going to charge us. We reiterated this was not a fault of ours. she proceeded to clearly said she would not take it off the bill even though she understood.
I have never seen a manager be so rude to a customer and never offer any other option. And especially would not take it off the bill when they gave us the wrong order to begin with.
She does not care about her attitude, the customers, or anything else you come to expect from a service industry and especially in a management position.
Would not come here again. I would advise that you don’t either unless you’re just ready to eat whatever they give you whether it’s the right or wrong order and get charged for it anyways. Never heard of such nonsense but you’ll find it at “The original house of pancakes”. And if you get this manager, you’ll eat and pay for whatever they give you whether you want it or not. She’ll even give you the smirk if you ask her if it is normal to treat customers this way or anything that does not appease her.
Here is a picture of the rude angry manager who doesn’t care about the customers much and in which to avoid...
Read moreIt’s been almost a year since this happened but it still infuriates me everytime I think about it. About a year ago I was invited to breakfast by my mom and her friends, I let her know she would have to pay for me because I was pretty broke at the time having a baby 3 months prior and I was moving houses at this time. Before this incident I had been several times with my fiance we enjoyed the food and always tipped what were supposed to and occasionally more if we really enjoyed the service. Me, my mother, and 3 friends sat down so 5 people total not including 2 babies that didn’t eat . We were ordering our food the server rolled his eyes at my mother while ordering and just had overall poor service (this specific time I’ll say other times the service was great) I remember the server just seeming very moody. My moms friend ended up covering the tab for all of us, my mom and her friends walk out as me and my friend are packing up our babies into the car seat, the babies were not happy with this and crying as we walked out I’m assuming the manager came up and asked us “why didn’t you leave a tip this is one of our lead servers so we know he has good service” we said we weren’t the ones paying and didn’t know there wasn’t a tip left but my friend said something like are you really berating us for a tip right now we weren’t even the ones paying, we’re both holding car seats with crying babies during this time. The manager proceeded to BAN us from ever coming back… She was mad we didn’t tip her employee while I’m sure she makes a salary which is kinda ironic that as a manager you can berate PAYING CUSTOMERS for not tipping but not go to upper management and demand some sort of pay change for your so cared...

Pros: Being able to check out waitlist time, going from 8th on the "live" wait list to getting a text two minutes later for our table, and good migas.
Cons: Didn't get my coffee the hostess asked about, had the smallest table next to the kitchen entrance for (2) people (reference for later), the three person table sat next to me had no less than four restaurant staff come chat with them for an aggregated total of 12-15 minutes, only received one refill during my dining which wasnt from our waitress, one booth with two people sat after me, one double table near the window entrance had a single person sat, received corn tortillas instead of flour, had enough time to stack dishes for several minutes before they were picked up, and the check slid out towards me when the waitress finally came.
I'm completely ok with the idea of this place being a lounge vibe, where four staff members can interact with a single table for 12-15 minutes...but please take away the tiny table for "expediency" of seating guests if you're going for less service and longer service times. I'm ok with longer service times, if I have a larger table so the stacked dishes aren't in the way. Lastly, I'm ok with other staff helping out but please dont make a double standard of one refill from another staff member, but everyone (entrance to kitchen) passes a stack of dishes without even asking if there's anything needed.
Will I be returning soon? Probably not. Will I recommend this place based on my...
