To be honest, I'm rating very generously today. There is a mixed bag here and I'd like to give this place another try because I want it to work based on the taste of the food alone even if it wasn't what I ordered...

I came with my wife and ordered a chicken bowl with spicy sauce, a beef bbq bowl with the soy ginger sauce, and an order of croquettes to go. What we noticed we received when we got home were 2 beef bbq bowls, one with the spicy sauce and the other with apparently no sauce and the order of croquettes... I've seen the other pictures and reviews here, so it appears the sauce is either missing or very light in comparison. You can also see in my pictures the portion sizing is not consistent between the two. She tried to call in just to let them know so they can check other bowls in the togo but never got through to anyone.

However, the taste of the beef itself is actually pretty good. A little chewy sure, but generally cooked and sliced to how I enjoy it. I enjoyed the grilled flavor that the meat had. Generally, I really enjoyed this even if it wasn't the chicken I ordered. However, my wife was expecting thinly sliced beef based off the menu description and wasn't as big of a fan of the thickness. I will also note, this is a nitpick but it's a bit disappointing that no side dishes come with the bowl. I guess I've come to expect some sort of banchan, be it radish/cabbage kimchi or anything generally from korean restaurants when ordering a main. I shouldn't have this expectation since it's not stated on the menu, but being korean and eating at many korean places, it's just kind of expected. I'm not exactly happy with the price for the portion, but as mentioned, it was very tasty. I also have kimchi aged to how i like it at home, so I dont need the banchan choices, but it does mean if I ever order here, it'll just be takeout.

The potato croquettes were also very good. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The order of croquettes on the menu say it comes with 2, but we received 3. While looking through the other reviews, it appears this is normal. I dont really mind that but consistency between what's served and what's on the menu would be good.

My wife didn't like the atmosphere of the restaurant. I didn't mind this too much honestly, but I'm including her comments/rating here as we generally review these things together when trying new places. She mentioned the lack of decor makes the place feel a little flat with no uniqueness. That it felt more like a temporary popup restaurant versus something that is trying to establish itself here. And also, as a suggestion, since there were two tvs with nothing really on them, it would be nice to showcase the food on them as it would have helped her decide what to order and what to expect, in her words. Otherwise, everything else atmosphere wise was good. There was enough seating and the...

Bulgogi Bowl offers delicious and nutritious Korean food in North Austin!!!

Bowl: you have your choice of rice or half rice half salad, protein (beef, chicken, pork, tofu, or shrimp), and sauce (soy garlic or spicy gojujang). All bowls come with a small side of salad with light ranch dressing. We got the beef bulgogi bowl with rice and it was very yummy! The meat was grilled to perfection, very tender and flavorful. You can taste the marinade in every bite. The meat is tossed with your choice of sauce, mine was spicy gojujang and it was mild without overpowering everything. A lot of places make bulgogi way too sweet, here is just right! The salad dressing is light which is great. It’s a perfect umami blend in a bowl. Next time we will try shrimp and pork bulgogi.

Appetizers: They have a variety of appetizers. We got to try the potato croquette and egg rolls and both are delicious! The highlight is definitely the potato croquette. It’s soooo soft and fluffy inside and crispy outside. Egg rolls have vegetables inside, crispy without dripping oil in your throat. The dipping sauces for appetizers are yummy as well.

The restaurant is very clean, and staff is very friendly. The menu is simple but if you need recommendations, the staff is more than happy to recommend some dishes. They also offer complimentary cold barley tea, which is refreshing and pair well with your meal.

This is the perfect place to fuel your body with a balanced meal. I highly...

Stopped in at Korean BBQ Bowl randomly and was thoroughly impressed with our experience. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Beef BBQ Bowl—an absolute masterpiece! The beef was tender and perfectly marinated and grilled, served over a bed of rice that soaked up all the delicious flavors. I could have easily eaten two! My wife got the Korean Tuna Poke, and was pleasantly surprise. It was very fresh and had layers of flavor with the perfect balance of ingredients. It was a refreshing dish that I would highly recommend! As our sides we got the chicken dumplings which were also good; they tasted homemade and had just enough filling; also the egg rolls, while decent, were more on the average side compared to the other dishes. They were crispy and good, but didn’t stand out like the rest of the meal.

On top of the food being amazing, this is also a great place to bring your laptop and get some work done. The atmosphere is inviting and the perfect spot to enjoy a meal while being productive.

Overall, I’m so happy we stumbled across this place it was fantastic, and I will be returning within...
