I tried this place first time today with a very high expectation, but I was very disappointed with the food.☹️ The clerk was very polite and friendly. He is great. I had a hot & sour soup, it’s also great, I like it. But, the dragon noodle was…”not good”. I really don’t like the taste and flavor if it has any.😕 I was so confused because the combination of veggies and meat should be ok, but why it tasted so bad? My answer is the sauce. This dish could be super good if they just use regular soy sauce and red chili. The sauce should bonds the flavors of the ingredients together, but sadly it does not. Super flavorless, only tomato sour, hot and spicy on your tongue. And they put in the noodle at the very end of cooking, making it even more flavorless. They should put the noodle into the wok and pan fried it with the veggies and meat for a while before adding any sauce or soy sauce, so the noodle has time to absorb the flavor of ingredients and wok. This should be one of the basic rules of making Asian dishes. 😑 Anyway, I don’t recommend the dragon noodle. I might try something else next time.

This unassuming Asian restaurant was a pleasant surprise! My friend did not want to go here because the name meant something else in another language but she joined me under protest. I think the name means Uncle in Chinese. This is an order at the counter restaurant. Kristi was working front of house. She helped my vegetarian friend decide on her choices, patiently explaining the dishes, answering all questions and making suggestions. The lunch specials run until 2:30 everyday...choice of appetizer and entree. My friend ordered the Black Bean entree with tofu and substituted some vegetables plus egg drop soup. I had the Serrano Black Bean entree with chicken plus hot and sour soup. Both entrees were generously tasty portions. I viewed a few other plates which also looked delicious. I will definitely be back for more! Reminder - Make sure to tip when ordering or at the table as some refrain from doing so at counter order restaurants. Kristi happily took our order, brought our food, checked on us, bussed our plates and cleaned up afterwards.

So glad we decided to try this place on a Sunday afternoon! The owners were very courteous and provided great service. I ordered the teriyaki veggies with sesame chicken, hubs ordered dragon noodles and daughter ordered lo mein. Everything came out in a timely manner and was hot and freshly prepared. Very fresh, flavorful and delicious! We will be coming back for sure to try more items. Update: 10/16/22 The service is still excellent and the food is still hot, fresh and delicious! You could tell they put a lot of love in their food. The portions are the perfect size. Today, I got my favorite teriyaki chicken, my daughter got the sesame chicken and my husband got extra crunchy tofu General Tso's w/ lo mein. We also got eggrolls on the side and they were amazing with fresh veggies and chicken. I hope Shu Shu is around for a long time and they keep making this great food for the soul ♥️🥠

It’s been years since I’ve eaten at Shu Shu’s, but I was always happy with the food, so I decided to order and pick up some of their Kung Pao Tofu and was disappointed with the near total lack of flavor in the sauce. It really didn’t taste like much of anything. It didn’t taste bad, it just had almost no flavor, with the exception of a little bit of ginger. In the “good news column”, everything was cooked fine, the rice was good, the veggies were good, and it was a decent amount of food for a to go box, but I just couldn’t get over that it didn’t really taste like the good flavorful Chinese food that I was craving when I ordered. I hate to say it, and I’m not saying it to be mean, but to be honest, I’ve had better tasting food at Panda Express. Maybe I just caught them on a bad night. I did order late… Picked up my food about 30 minutes before they were going to close. There were no patrons in the restaurant, but there were a couple of people still cooking, presumably for other people picking up. I might give them another chance, but I won’t be as inclined to do so as I would have been had the food been...

Don't order the lettuce wraps with the intent of sharing. It was good enough but you can't share it- so be warned. They serve you a big cut of iceberg lettuce that doesn't pull apart easily like the sheets of lettuce at other places. The flavor was good. There was a cook who asked me if everything was okay so at least someone there cared. The gal behind the counter when I first walked in absolutely did not. I was there for several minutes before anyone acknowledged me. There was a gal behind the counter who looked like she was going to the gym or to clean her house- didn't look like she was dressed for work- in her pink "Rose' all day" shirt and workout pants. Most places offer a simple "Someone will be with you shortly" but I guess she's special or doesn't care about her job as she just waited for someone else to acknowledge me. I hate to say it but the place felt pretty dirty. I peaked over the counter and into the cooking area; it was gnarly. The restroom odor was strong while the floor and counter was a mess. The remotes to the tv...
