I didn’t have an enjoyable or welcoming experience here. Gave it 2 stars because the shop was really clean and that tattoo came out okay.
It was my first tattoo and I scheduled an appointment with an artist off of Instagram. I won’t say his name since I don’t wanna put him on blast. In person he wasn’t that welcoming or kind, didn’t make me feel comfortable at all. He probably exchanged 4 words with me throughout the whole tattoo. He seemed to be more worried about his music or the music his friends were playing.
I really liked the tattoo but I felt disappointed by the whole experience. I was very excited since it was my first tattoo and I was hoping to maybe talk to the artist while he did it. I had to ask to be moved on a table after he had me all contorted for like 40 mins and it felt like I had bothered him by asking to be put in a more comfortable position.
Then what really bothered me was the fact that I was overcharged. He charges 150 an hour and the tattoo only took 2 1/2 hours. I was initially quoted 500 which I was okay with since I thought the tattoo would take longer. Best part was I decided to give him a 20% tip ($100) since the piece came out really well and he just looks at it and says “Oh ok, just put it on the table”. That’s it? No thank you or hey have a good day?
Overall I really didn’t like the dude even though he’s a good artist. I won’t be visiting this place again and I won’t be recommending it to anyone. If the owner wants to contact me about it then feel free to. I don’t like being a “Karen” but I was really disappointed by the experience, a little kindness...
Read moreI seriously can’t say enough about how amazing this shop is and especially about Mike Pain. I came in as a walk in, not expecting much beyond a consult or maybe a quick piece, but Mike was available and completely blew me away. From the moment we started talking about the tattoo, it was clear how much pride he takes in his work. He was thoughtful, creative, and genuinely cared about getting every detail just right.
His artistry is next level. He brought a unique vision to the design and made sure it was something that I was going to love. I honestly don’t think I could’ve found another artist who would have taken the kind of care Mike did. He’s not just talentedhe’s passionate, patient, and makes the whole experience feel effortless. I walked out with a tattoo I absolutely love, and I owe that entirely to him.
On top of that, the shop itself is just a great place to be. The vibes here are always on point, super friendly, relaxed, and professional. Everyone makes you feel welcome, whether you’re coming in for your first tattoo or your tenth. I’ve been coming here for less than a year now, but every time I walk in, I know I’m going to have a great experience. Never a bad visit, never a bad vibe.
If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo, especially if you can book with Mike, do it. I truly can’t recommend him or this...
Read moreWent there and showed the guy a picture of what I wanted, he said “ok cool, let me draw something up and I’ll be right back”. I proceeded to wait about 45 minutes. Once he returned, he showed me something totally different than what I had showed him. I actually told my buddy “watch him draw up something and add his own little touch and mess it up.” Low and behold he comes showing me a basic font tattoo that was very unappealing. I said “I want it exactly like it is in this picture (I sent the image to his cell phone), he holds his image up to my forearm and says it’s gonna be 450-500. I said well I was just quoted at 400 from their competitor Platinum ink.. he said “ok. That will work, let me go rework the image”. He steps away again and I tell my buddy “the pressure is on for him to match the image I showed him and we laughed. Little did I know the front desk guy was listening and went to the back and whispered something to him. He comes out and gives a lame excuse and says “I don’t think I’m the guy to do this. It’s gonna need to be real dark to look good on you”. The whole time I’m thinking you knew all the information before you started drawing “if that’s what you call it”. In short, he was incompetent and couldn’t draw a simple old english tattoo then used a cop out to turn me away. I wouldn’t go...
