We Went around lunch time but had breakfast and it was slow at first so it was nice being able to pick our table. The music was on point too. Loved the chicken fried chicken, the breading was on there nice and didn’t fall apart. My eggs were over cooked but didn’t feel like complaining so pushed through. The sausage had a good flavor but seemed to be overcooked also. Still good though. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and the syrup had a sweet flavor. My boyfriend got scrambled eggs w/sausage and hashbrowns - no complaints there (or ever lol). The hashbrowns to me were okay. Not a fan of shredded but will say I liked the thickness on them. Overall 10/10 would come back to try lunch when we can eat bread again bc sadly we weren’t able to try their biscuits :,) oh! And we tried the queso fries, at first I wasn’t sure what I was looking at but then the queso was all at the bottom and we mixed it around and it was SO GOOD.

Gave this location a shot after a disaster of an eating experience their South Park Meadows establishment: and have concluded the brand/management is just absolute junk.. like their food, and their service. Maybe this place was considered cool in the 90's. I have no idea why anyone would eat here. No silverware included in my order, and a bun was put on my burger despite leaving instructions for no bun.. plus the burger itself was cooked extremely well done so it was chewy and dry like cardboard.. what a joke. Skip this rat-hole and go up the street to Top Notch or Hop Doddy. This brand is trash. Check out my picture of the cheeseburger I ordered. Does this institutional overcooked junk look like it's worth $18 ?

The staff was so friendly. I ordered the veggie hash and a pecan pancake. I asked for a few modifications on my hash and they got everything right. I asked for my eggs to be hard scrambled and the vegetables to be cooked for a longer amount of time. I like soft sautéed veggies. The potatoes were not crispy which was a little disappointing but it was not a big deal. Everything was delicious the veggies were very tasty. The pancake was good but I think the batter was a little bit too sweet for me. I think they should add the pecans to the batter and not just to the top. The pancake was good though if you have a sweet tooth this is the way to go!!!

You wrote a review for Waterloo Ice House Burnet Road One hour ago 1.0 star rating 6/17/2019 Our car club was quite happy with Waterloo Ice House using their "patio" area since September of 2018. One meeting a month, usually the third Monday. Initially, managers were a delight and easy to work with. Myself as the President making initial contact.

The rest of 2018 went smoothly; even letting them know the dates our club would not dine there so they could have the space available for others. We did not have a January meeting, but at some time I contacted (via phone) and stated the dates that Tejas would be there.

Well, somehow they lost ALL that. In May we arrived to see our meeting space taken by another group. I immediately notified the manager on duty, and my group reluctantly sat in the main dining area. It took 20 minutes for anyone to get our drink order. Diners that arrived after our group were served first.

Meanwhile, I've got 15 normally happy diners shaking their head. Some even left. Management didn't offer to take off any percentage of our tabs. OH, and we politely moved our meeting away from their casual diners so they would have to here me bellow about cars and events for 30 minutes.

Follow up from the GM Tonya was pleasant at first promising it would never happen again and Waterloo would be fixing the scheduling issues including a breakdown in management communicating about the groups that have events scheduled there.

On the Saturday before our Monday meeting I get an email asking us to move to the dining room where we reluctantly got stuffed last month. Tonya, not only NO but hell no. Our group was there LONG before one of your absent minded staffers told the North Austin Democrats they could have that space.

Promises to make it right...This is how you make things right? Well Waterloo, we're zoom zooming outa there. Also, we will be finding a new BOD meeting spot as we usually have those at the 360 location.

EDIT: My group is eating pizza in the parking lot as I type. No reason to give these folks another penny.

UPDATE! Waterloo called the cops on my car club even though they were in an adjacent parking lot minding our own business. Manager who called made us sound like drifting tire smoking 4 wheel Hells Angels. The cops were polite and asked to never return. THAT'S FINE BECAUSE WE WEREN'T...

9:30 am Wednesday Jan. 9, 2019. My disabled friend and I were greeted by two waitresses. The table near the entrance was accommodating for her disability. One waitress, Dawn, said she was our waitress. She handed us menus, and took our drink order, two waters. An extended amount of time went by before Dawn returned with the water and take our order. Two meals both with one sausage patty each, 2 biscuits and gravy and 1 biscuit with gravy. Bacon was brought instead of one of the patties( even after our conversation if the sausage was a patty or link). We would only order sausage patties. Dawn became confrontational, telling me this was what I had ordered. As a confrontational server, Dawn made our breakfast experience not pleasurable. Besides us, her serving skill needed more training. Extended amount of time before ordering, ( wait on straws, spoons, extra napkins and larger plate) checking on food. Sausage, gravy, biscuit was warm, not hot, making the gravy sit on top, as like a spread. One biscuit and a cup of gravy was served on plate the size of a coffee saucer. There were 3 waitresses during this time period. The restaurant is fairly large, at the time of our visit I noticed 7 tables with customers. We were "handed off" to the other two waitresses for our requests and the bill.

I noticed Dawn served coffee and took an order from a customer over one table and railing. The customer, an older lady, had to turn to her left and reach over the railing and part of the table to hand Dawn back the menu. The customer at the table beside ours pulled a long hair out of his taco. He didn't complain but set the taco down and finished the rest of his breakfast. I did not feel that Dawn deserved a nice tip, however my friend was paying and gave he a nice size tip. The food had plenty of flavor, but the quality was lacking. Proper serving plates, utensils and temperature of food needs to be readdressed. The restroom sign??? The word "Sanitary" over the words restrooms? Aren't the restrooms suppose to be sanitary anyway? I have been to Waterloo at night, busy times during football games before and never had an experience like this. Needs to be an emphasis on training... at least for the...

here is what you need to know before coming to this location:

parking is somewhat limited so keep that in mind either around the front or on the side or you have to go around the other corner side or try to find parking in the shared parking lot across the street and then walk on over

what you can figure that part out though Customer service here is always been friendly just pretty much allows you to sit wherever plenty of booths plenty of tables

you can also sit at the front and the bar and even see where they make the food

lots of TVs constantly streaming sports but they'll change it to pretty much whatever you want to change it to as long as nobody else is watching the TV

clean restrooms for men and women that are well maintained

also if you ask you can join the rewards program and doing the holidays you can buy gift cards and get bonus free gift cards depending on how much you spend

now what I come here for is to 50 cent boneless wings all day and I'm a huge fan of the sweet and chilly wings but they also have buffalo barbecue and a dry rub

I also serve a cider ranch to dip them in if that's what you also want

they also accommodate hot water with lemon which is something of her preference for me

I also have main route sodas here at this place which is a great bonus if you're looking for a different kind of healthier soda to choose from as well as plenty of tea options and plenty of other food options bare options and more

Great place to bring family to I did not check if they had outlets and Wi-Fi at this location but I could see how this would be a nice spot to find a booth with outlet and get on Wi-Fi and do some work from here

they also have steak night specials on Wednesday nights and each month they changed specials for different nights so be sure to check in on their website and see what new discounts happy hour and more are going on that...
