here is what you need to know before coming here
it's a small hole in the wall but has survived a test of time and it just so happens that today I was with a local congregation with a member who highly recommended this location as it used to be where he would come to almost every afternoon before going to work.
so I got the chicken with their green salsa verde which is a phenomenal combination very tasty and hit my palate
what you do need to know is that they're barbecue sauce uses worchester sauce so keep that in mind depending on your sensitivity to everything that goes into that type of sauce before trying that sauce whereas they're salsa verde and chip salsa do not have worchester and have less ingredients and no like high fructose syrup.
they also have many different kinds of rib brisket turkey on hand as well as banana pudding which was what three different members of the group I was with ordered for dessert and all had great things to say about.
myself personally I was full and satisfied but just chicken which I spent less than 10 bucks on after sales tax so it was definitely a bargain for me on a budget but you could definitely spend well over 20 or $30 here as well and the plate and sides
The tables were clean and they made use of small little space have plenty of tables to eat at while they were playing movies on a TV up in the corner with no sound.
very hospitable friendly staff rolling the answer any questions you have quickly and easily as well as a number of people that came in for to go orders
they also cater and have a clean restroom to work with inside for those who care about having a restroom it is a shared mans and women's restroom but again when I went in there was clean and regularly maintained by staff.
lots of parking in this area but it is shared location with many other locations best enter from the street did you get to from the light from where to Wendy's is.
From there are plenty of options for handicap accessibility as well as family friendly.
From what I have seen and understood this is a franchise and there's a couple of these locations with a company mural on the wall to John Wayne old restaurants and a philosophy for cooking the best barbecue for what the neighborhood needs and wants which I like cuz they're not trying to say they're the best they're not trying to say they're the cheapest they're not trying to say that they have the best ingredients they're simply saying they're trying to be the best barbecue place for what the neighborhoods they are in want and need at...
Read moreI love this place. Not only is this authentic BBQ, these people are literally the best. I say this, due to the great gentleman who helped me on Wednesday September 5th. My lovely girlfriend, and myself came in, and was served by a very nice gentleman, who after talking with us, even offered to make something custom for us, that was not on the menu. We declined and ordered off the regular menu. After enjoying our wonderful food, and the true texas sweet tea, we went outside, full as a tick, and found our jeep Misfit, was unable to start. After what felt like hours, but was only a few minutes, many phone calls to friends and family who were unable to help us, we figured we needed to have our jeep jump started. My girlfriend asked the same man who served us that day, if anyone could help us. This wonderful man came out, without hesitation, and pulled his car over, and we talked as we worked to get my jeep to start. I wanted to write this to tell Smokey Moe himself, that this man is fantastic, made two life long customers, and he needs a paid day off, and a raise. Thank you sir. I...
Read moreUpdate: Visited again after 4 years and it's gone downhill since the last time we visited. $14 for a bag of chips (they don't serve fries anymore) and two dinky cardboard boxes with a one side of Mac and Cheese and a few tablespoons of Chopped Brisket with a rather sour BBQ sauce. The place also needs a good cleaning. So sad 😞 My son and I came here because of a coupon received from the quick lube place. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Love the smell in the air. Good value i.e. quantity for price. Good parking. I like that they have bottled soft drinks not just fountain beverages. The memoriabilia on the wall is quirky and gives you something to look and talk about. They seem to have a nice stream of regular customers coming in. Could use a bit of cleaning and some repairs. Didn't use the rest room, so can't...
