I WILL NEVER COME BACK!!!!

THIS IS WHY:

Dine in on Dec 11. 2022. I ordered 3 appetizers and one main entree with extra steam rice (chicken wings, tamarind shrimp, papaya salad and black pepper short ribs).

Food came pretty quick considering you were short staffed that day. When the shrimp was out, it was not the shrimp we ordered, I called our waiter and told him this does not look like tamarind shrimp.

"Oh sorry , this is Bonton shrimp, " he took the food back and apologized for giving us the wrong order.

I told him, that was okay I understand , you were busy and it seemed you were alone running the floor.

place getting busier and busier with big party dinner. I was so glad I came early and got all of our food.

I asked for to go box, because I didn't want to occupy the table too long, I noticed you had at least 2 big party groups.

I went ahead and pay, When an older gentleman approached our table told me the total was $71.

Hmmm in my head that was a bit expensive than I thought it will be .

I gave him my card, he swept the card without confirming what I have had ordered , I totally understand. He might be in hurry to get the big party set up.

I put 25% tip and left. I went to get ice cream next to the restaurant, while I ordered my ice cream , I noticed I got charged for Bonton shrimp which I did not order.

I came back to the restaurant after I finished my Ice cream, I told the lady at the cashier and the older gentleman that I got charged for something I did not order and showed them the receipt.

They looked at me as if I was inconvenience, interrupting their busy dinner. I understand and totally fine with the look they gave me, because I know they were struggling to get things moving with the big parties group.

No heart feelings , I patiently waited for them to figure things out. The young waiter who attended my table came and noticed the wrong charges, he apologized and told the older gentleman and the lady that he was forgotten to delete the wrong item that I did not order ( Bonton Shtimp),

They could not figure it out how to give the charge back to my card, I could see the waiter who felt so guilty and slightly panicked because the crowd for big party start coming in.

I told them, if you could not give the charge back. Just give me credit for next time. I saw the relief from their faces. I wrote my name and phone number, the older gentleman circle the wrong order on my receipt ( may be to make sure I only get the $10 credit back from the Bonton Shtimp I did not order).

Today Dec 20, I stopped by at your place to get some chicken wings to go. I told them I have this receipt from Dec 11, as the proof to get some credit.

They looked at me as if I was there to cheat them, the girl at the cashier told me my name was not on the book, I told her I wrote it myself on a thick book, and pointed the book next to her. and she said no Mam that's a reservation book.

I waited patiently to finish up my order and pay the difference if I have to.

Again the same look I got , I was a nuisance and inconveniences to them.

The two ladies who's taken my order just pacing back and forth and ignoring me, they said I called to verify about you, no answer. Hmm ok. I told them I'll be in the ice cream store next door. I really didn't know what to say at that point.

When I came back , the lady who called to confirm about my credit earlier handed out my order, and the lady at the cashier with half yelled with hand gestures told me NEXT TIME TOLD ME ABOUT CREDIT FIRST THEN ORDER!

REALLY...???!! I WAS SHOCKED!

YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS LIKE THEY ARE DISPOSABLE. SOON YOUR BUSINESS WiLL BE DISPOSABLE TOO.

WOW! I WILL NEVER COMEBACK, I WILL SHARE THiS TO MY NETWORK FRIENDS SO THEY WILL THINK TWICE BEFORE THEY MAKE DECISIONS TO COME...

Okay, don’t get me wrong. The food is decent. Not bad but not great. It’s good for when you have that random Thai food cravings. I was in town for the weekend and was in dire need of something else besides Texas BBQ! haha

Upon entering, we weren’t really greeted right away but that’s understandable. It was busy. Even after we sat, it took a good 20 mins just to place our order. And even after that, water wasn’t brought out for quite awhile. And my Thai tea was forgotten until all my food had already been out.

(Tom Kha 3/5) This was the first dish that came out. Even before our drinks! We orders the hot pot one so it came with a little stove. Cute. The soup itself wasn’t as savory as I would like it. Needed more lemongrass and citrus. It was a good amount of spice. And the shrimp was cooked perfectly but that’s about it. Usually this dish would be accompanied with rice, but we didn’t get it until after all the other food had arrived.

(Pork Ribs 4/5) This by far was the best dish for the evening. The ribs were perfectly seasoned and cooked well. It was nice and tender. The cooked onions went really well with it. My only complaint was that it was supposed to come out sizzling hot. Since it was on the sizzling plate. But it was not that. The ribs were like warm actually. Disappointing.

(Drunken Noodles 3/5) It was okay. Just spicy but no flavor. The noodles weren’t coated much. Quite dry.

(Pork Larb 2/5) I had high hopes for this dish but it was horrible. The pork itself needed a umami. It was just spicy but lacked fish sauce. And they didn’t really give us much lettuce to eat with it. It was a few pieces of lettuce and cucumbers. Not enough for the amount of Larb.

Overall I would say food was just mediocre. Not bad. But not good. haha but yeah. Disappointed in the service too. It was nonexistent and when it came to closing time. They had asked us to pay out first. Our food was barely out. It took forever for them to take our orders and even longer to get everything, but still rushed out. Yeah so maybe avoid dinner rush and try to come here during lunch. Looks like they have some good...

After multiple attempts of getting properly cook food, I have given up. I will never use this location again.

This is the third time in a row, that the Thai beef jerky strips tasted like shrimp. It’s disgusting. Beef should not taste like shrimp. The only reason it’s happening is because they are not cleaning their grill. It’s nasty. To make matters worse, the beef wasn’t even fully cooked this time. Talk about not even trying.

In addition, I ordered the chicken basil rice, and the rice was not properly cooked either. It was a big ball of mesh, whether from too much water or not properly frying is hard to say. It was uneatable. 40 years of eating out at Chinese and Thai Restaurants and I’ve never had fried rice cooked wrong until this location.

I wish I could say it was a one time occurrence, but this has happened multiple times in a row. I’ve waited months in between visits, hoping a manager, or the owner would straighten things out, but there’s been no change. Consistently poorly cooked food.

My experience is the failure of the owner, the managers, and the cooks. For the price these guys are charging, there should never be anything wrong with an order.

One last thing, I did a pick up on my order. When I entered the restaurant the gentleman behind the counter, at the check register, never even looked up. He didn’t acknowledge me, and he didn’t say hello. He didn’t even check to see if I was picking up the right order. The guy said nothing. He never glanced away from his phone. Whatever it was, must’ve been really important, customers definitely aren’t.
