Let me tell you what. Been coming here for years. Either drive thru, on line, pick up, sit in, it’s always amazing. Staff is always great , service , food is always great as well. Tonight my wife ordered on line and went thru drive thru and everything well. Lady that brought out order looked kind of grumpy according to my wife. No worries that wasn’t the issue. The issue was not that bad to begin with, missing fries on our order. We called the store to let them know about it, lady answered the phone stating she was the manager Lynette I believe that was her name. She offered to remake the order, I stated I’m not calling to get a refund or get the order remade, all I’m calling is for to let yall know to check the order. She stated there is no may to go back and check my order. That’s when all hell broke loose. She stated our order and she named what we ordered, when I told her wait you said you couldn’t go back to see our order, she got upset and just went to a different level. She started arguing with me and put her phone down and I heard her talking to another person about me. Un professional in so many levels as a manager. She was literally arguing with me on the phone. I asked for corporate number and the general manger number as well and she refused. She gave me the store number which she said was the general manager number. Juan answered the phone and was amazing on handling the situation. Now that is how a manger should handle complaints. He did everything that a manger should do . Thank you Mr. Juan for handling the situation as I was very upset with how Lynette handled it. We definitely made a mistake and didn’t order the fries, that is definitely in our part. But the way she handle it was very concerning and should be addressed. We will definitely go back to this store but as long she is there we will not and we will let all family and friends know not to frequent this store as long as she is there. Not asking for a freebie. Read moreI cannot begin to explain my disappointment and how downhill this location has become. We are regulars here, we don't like to complain often and this is the point where I draw the line. The staff and management (especially) are incompetent. Do Not believe when they tell you they will refund your card because here's the catch (they don't know how to and they don't think you'll come in store to get it via cash). We waited over a week for the refund to come back to the card and they never did it. I called to explain, they said oh, you must have the wrong store. I live 5 mins from here, I definitely don't have the wrong store (way to try to pass me off). They couldn't find my order on the computer, showed up in store and they found it instantly and everything, printing the original receipt (why couldn't this be done over the phone and if it could, why couldn't you do this refund via card). Skill lacking. To add to this, they always mess up the order, forget items, give out old food and they definitely don't clear the shake machine before giving you a shake (then you taste the previous shake flavor from someone else's order which is just gross). Read moreThank you Austin Whataburger for living up to the Austin drive thru lifestyle! This is my 5th fast food place in a row that has forgotten napkins, condiments and in my case a Fork. And I knew it right when i saw the girl giggling with her co workers and barley acknowledging me. They expect u to eat scrambled eggs with ur hands and wipe with ur shirt i guess... don't worry owner if u read this, every place in Austin does this, I have no idea why but it's like no one has the common sense and even when u ask for all the extra items that u need to eat ur food at the drive thru. We'll anyway Thank you, I'm doing a bet with my friend and I get $50 everytime someone in this town forgets something at the drive thru and it happens everytime. Where I'm from this never happens. Austin is just lazy. Managers... I know u shouldn't have to but do a day of training on putting napkins, condiments, a fork in the bag when people are at a drive thru. And if u want to know who it was, it was the girl at the drive thru at 9am on Thursday August 25th, she looks like a girl who does this to everyone.
