After driving all day, hauling a full trailer load in Austin traffic, I entered this establishment in hopes of quality caffeine refreshment, as continuing to drive in my sleepy state was ill-advised. Intending to order a $5 coffee, I walked to the register and was told by the cashier at that register, "I'll be right with you." The cashier then walked away. Another customer entered the line behind me; a new cashier approached the line and took the order of the person behind me. This customer paid and a new customer entered the line and this cashier took their order as well. I can't explain why the cashiers took everyone's order behind me when I was clearly first in line and made eye contact with both cashiers. However, recognizing the apparent capacity of the people with whom I had attempted to engage and give my hard-earned green cash money, I decided my efforts would be better spent and received elsewhere.
Back on the road, the hum of six tires barely audible over the Google engineer parsing the differences between the V8 Ignition interpreter running byte code versus Turbofan compiling machine code in the Software Engineering Daily podcast, the rain in Austin gave way to clear blue skies and the rolling hills and oaks in Burnet, Texas. Right on highway 29 in Burnet is Mojo's coffee shop, possibly named after Mojo's Daily Grind on The Drag in Austin that closed after the hoards of carpetbaggers appeared and ruined everything, like customer service at caffeine dispensaries. Mojo's has really good drip coffee served by young folks who have manners and understand the complicated details of public-facing customer service, like how to...
Read moreThis starbucks is the only convenient starbucks on my way to work. I always order through the mobile app and 9 out of 10 times they mess it up some how. I have tried to complain to the manager several times but no one EVER answers the phone. I use the app because I do not have time to wait around forever for a coffee. They have given the wrong size coffee, forgot the extra shots of espresso that they charge me for, it takes longer than the app says to be ready and I always have to ask for the whipped cream that goes on the drink unless asked not to put it there. I am a very patient person but today's mishap has irritated me more than anything. Today, I ordered my drink on the app at 6:45 am and after the order was placed it said 4-8 minutes. I arrived at 6:55 and my coffee was not ready. Not a big deal, yet, I stood there for a few minutes, no order ready, used the restroom, still no order ready, went out to my car to double check I ordered from the right store, I did, go back in, still nothing. I asked the lady if they had my order, the lady told me she did and she would make it now. She handed me one out of two with no whipped cream yet again. I asked where my other coffee was and she told me that there was only one on my order. I paid almost $14 so I know I ordered my normal two exact same drinks. 15 mins after I should have already had my drinks I get my other coffee. Starbucks needs to do something about this location cause they are running their...
Read moreI brought my "Starbucks Venti Insulated Travel Tumbler" to get a venti iced coffee. It's the transparent venti tumbler for iced drinks. I wanted to get a refill and "barista" Karen didn't fill up and left about 8-10 oz empty. I asked her if she could refill to the top, she refused to do it and brought a regular Starbucks venti iced cup and showed me this is how much venti is, so she would refill only that much. She said that without looking at me and looked away. She was almost rolling her eyes.
On the bottom my tumbler, it shows 24 oz. This tumbler is made thicker than the venti iced plastic cup that's in Starbucks stores. It might look larger, but it fills up the same amount of drinks.
I could tell her this, but I didn't. I was speechless of how rude and ignorant she is. I've been a regular Starbucks customer over 15 years. I know Starbucks policies and culture very well.
Karen was so rude, inappropriate and unprofessional. She is the ONLY and the FIRST employee who had a problem with my STARBUCKS "VENTI" tumbler after I was getting drinks with THIS tumbler more than a thousand...
